COP Life-Size SMG Contest
Join to comment
To get things going, I have decided to create an SMG contest that will start after Steel Purge III.

Criteria:
-The weapon must feature working sights, a trigger, a removable clip (ammo is optional), must be compact, and it has to be blocky and grey (COP style, you know)

-Every piece of detail must have a function. Unneccessary greebles on any given weapon not only p1$$3s me off, but it also detracts from the function.

-It MUST be life-sized!!! Midi-scale and minifig scale are not options.

-FPS views will earn you extra points.

I figure that I should rin this contest, and I will allow 2 more judges. Good luck to all.

Oh, and the prize? The winning SMG shall become the standard SMG of all COP troops.

Crud. Can't you wait for Christmas to do this contest? I'm getting some brick link orders to build a life sized COP carbine then.

Carbine=/=SMG.

Besides, this was supposed to be a celebration for Steel Purge 3, though it seems that it has been called off.

Ah.

I just saw the "Steel Purge Disengagement" topic as "Updated Today" and assumed the wrong thing. That's me for ya.

I thought that an SMG would be easier to build, since it's smaller.

But you could make your carbine and up the firing rate and call it an SMG if you want. Just sayin'.

No, cuz it's a fire-eject-reload single shot carbine. Also I won't be able to make it till I get my bricklink orders at Christmas. Don't worry I just won't make it for a contest.

No, not really.

Yeah, really.

I grew up under the knowledge that they were interchangeable.

/facepalm/A clip is what you put in m1 garande , a magazine is what you put on a assault rifle.

*Facedesk* A clip is used to fill magazines and magazines are used to feed guns.

Are UNE members allowed to judge? I'm pretty much experienced with 'gun-smithing'. And I'd like to judge.

Dangit. Cause I can't contribute. Or I could, but I could make a pistol at best. And it wouldn't be great.

There's the Uzi. You could make a pistol type SMG.

I be joining, I'm working on a larger entry than a pistol. Does the trigger have to move, because if so, I'll have to scrap the whole thing to fit a tachnic system into it, and put in a bricklink order.

There has to be a trigger, though it doesn't have to move.

However, I made a moving trigger using a battle droid arm.

Ok, that's good. It looks a bit like an FN2000 actually, in design, but COP style. I got the removeable ammo magazine and an attatchable scope, but ther's a little sight and a really long barrell.

Can't wait.

You have the ability to host a contest, assuming its doable, so go ahead, but we are going to review it before anyone goes and names something the official smg.
