Projects for the COP
Join to comment
I would like to announce this here topic as the official topic for posting your planned projects to be posted in the COP and ONLY the COP! We don't want to hear about your venators or Mg 42s or what have you.

Moving on, here are MY projects:

Full-scale reconstruction of the "Last Resort" (I'm not kidding!! The darn thing looks pretty flippin' simple to me, heck I can build it, so I will!)

"Eye of the Storm" 1

A small, 2-man crew tank

SH-77 "Mule" LMG (referring to it's MASSIVE kick-back)

Life-size COP Rocket Launcher

And now I'd like to hear your planned projects.

The next Precipice episode...
Don't worry, I just have one more scenery piece to go. Then it's all about uploading the pics to the computer, edit and mail to Awe.

Besides, I thought that everyone would be asking about the Last Resort reconstruction.

Btw, I heard of the Last resort somewhere, what is is again?

No, life-sized rocket launcher for life-size devilisly handsome-and single (here's your chance, ladies:D)- ABS sculptor, me.

And the Last Resort is the second most famous COP starship ever, origionally built by Commander Fed. Unfortunately, he created the EOS, turned on his Coalition bretheren, and then inexplicably and suddenly left MOCpages.

After many searching, it seems that Gus Indo has saved one glorious picture and posted it on one of his MOCs. I have, in turn, saved that picture, and I am using it as reference to reconstruct this awe-inspiring ship.

Sort of. Since the MOC no longer exists, this is one of my "rites of passage," the other being turning Assassin Android into ALIEN5 and making it a full-length major stopmotion picture. (i.e., a REAL movie)

It's an experimental design, still not sure if it should be a cannon or an LMG or what.

Then you shouldn't call it an LMG. If you're not sure if it's a cannon or machinegun, it's a superheavy machinegun. As an example, I present the Soviet KPV, chambered in 14.5mm.

Sorry if Im a bit skeptical, it's just that your procrastination level is above average, what with all your abandoned projects, your smg contest that you seem to have forgotten about, your supposed newfound dedication to the COP, then defecting to the UNE, etc.

It seems a bit farfetched for someone like you to suddenly come up with all these grand plans for future COP MOCs.

Just to get this out there so that people can remind me about it later; I plan on making a four-part series very similar to Precipice called Beacon in a Black Sea. It details the Alcodin Empire (google it) and how it enters the war. I dunno if this counts as CoP, but what I really want is for Awe to nag me about it so inspiration and free time happen
simultaneously.

Nagging, eh? I do that a lot. Doesn't work on Phaze though.

Ian's Imperial Dreadnaught over the COP symbol is only the Navy emblem. The one you see here is the true COP logo, and it's on a test run to see what people think of it.

In technical terms, it's a feudal realm with a heavy dose of socialism. Like old times Europe IN SPACE, but more unified.

Officially, it's an interstellar, well, coalition of planets. But the old symbol was just a wreath, the hammer was added by the Emperor to represent the new fierceness of the COP. Ironic, because slightly democratic COP was just as brutal as monarchist COP.

ermm, i joined after Steel curtain was ended, I'd like to know what all these references to Steel Curtain this and High Ground that....if you dont mind

Well the questions you have asked illicit the back story of the C.O.P/U.N.E. conflict.
High Ground dare we speak its name WAS the COP's best and largest ship until its creator, Commander Fed, did what I like to be described as taking-my-ball-and-doing-something-I-want move in which he created a new subfaction inside the theme. He was consequently kicked out and never wished to return taking with him swarms of simpletons. In the before section where Fed was present Steel Curtain was bought in by our now somewhat omniscient admin Awesome O Saurus in order to keep this place running as it should. Violation of these rules would result in severe punishment so they were eventually disbanded as seen not to be needed. Rules still obviously exist but Steel Curtain itself does not any longer.

Lego trophy prize to anyone who makes a COP ship bigger and better than the High Ground.

I'm serious.

I will make a trophy, probably based on a vig, and send it to you.

Course, the trophy would no where near cover the cost of the BL orders needed to make the most awesome ship in the 23rd century.

Just to pre warn you anders (as you seem to be the only one participating) if you want to receive the trophy prize, you have to not only build a ship with larger dimensions than the HG, but it has to look more legit and as well armed.

Who decides if the ship is more legit? The admins and mods of the COP get to vote. I still get the final decision seeing as I'm the one giving away the Lego prize, but if most people vote it more legit, it should be good enough to receive the prize!

I'm getting good feedback, pointing to good legitness. Building plan is "main structure, guns and details."
But the main guns are going o be parts of the structure, though.

Fair enough about the details, but if that's the middle section, it's nowhere near as wide as the High Ground, and therefore, if the finished ship is only that wide, it wouldn't qualify as being bigger (unless you intend on making the ship more than 200 studs long)

My grey bricks are stretched thin already, and my main objective is to make a big COP style flagship for the 9th Fleet. This competition just kicked the project going.
And keep in mind that the High Ground had two plates slapped to the sides, I wouldn't think the actual body is that wide. If I am successful, I'll be in the lead height-wise.

Gee, COP does not allow subfactions. But if your "division" is actually your fraction of the Imperial Fleet, I guess it's ok. Wait for Canonmaster Awe to answer this.

In very bad wording that's what I was thinking. I'm not trying to split apart. It's just that I have my own troop designs for my fraction of the Imperial Fleet that I want to use.
