The Coalition's Space-Beacons; Tell me about them.
Wow... That was incorrect grammar. Anyways,
1) Radio or Electro-Magnetic Waves?
2) The range?
3) How many are in each system?
4) Size compared to a minifigure?
5) How fast can it send/receive data? Permalink | December 19, 2010, 8:31 pm |

2) The range?

4) Size compared to a minifigure?
5) How fast can it send/receive data?
1: Neither. Something far more sinister and arcane.
2: Infinite, unless stopped. However, this does not account for time lag.
3: There's generally 1 for ever dozen or so systems. All sectors have their own, and the more populated a sector is, the more Warpspace Beacons are there.
4: Warpship-sized.
5: As fast as it can get it. The GOD Machine was integrated into the Beacon network, and made the processing of information much faster. However, the loss of the computer made processing slow down. I'd say it takes about a month to get a message across the entire empire. Permalink | December 19, 2010, 8:38 pm |

Time to kidnap Aweomes.
That's from Thyrenda to nearly Earth, though. It takes far less time to send a message out. Besides, if you want to kidnap Aemowes, you're going to have to find his ship, get on it, subdue him (which is like trying to capture an angry, intelligent tiger or something, Thyrendi are a predatory species [in more ways than one, if you catch my drift]), and then get out of there. It's gonna be intense/ Permalink | December 19, 2010, 8:48 pm |

These beacons have actually been around for over a year. I came up with them as the excuse for the COP's lack of technological progress sometime in the summer of 2009.
As for Precipice, I'm still working on the script. You also may want to refrain from going too far into your next episode, because I've had to change parts of the plot for reasons that cannot be disclosed here. Permalink | December 20, 2010, 4:16 pm |
