How to get a popular moc

Okay. So I'm wondering, how do you do it? I made something really cool, and somewhat unique. I presented it well with good pictures and a short story. But yet it STILL didn't hit the 50 mark! I also added it several groups!

This is it

This MOC is great, and really detailed. I don't know the secret to getting good MOCs known, but I suggest putting it in as many popular groups as you can. Many good MOCs don't get as much attention as they should sometimes.

i think the way to get a popular moc is to make it of some thing really popular(halo CoD etc.) but this does limit your imagination and the point of moc pages is to share your imagination

In my opinion that dosn't work. You see, the people who that kind of MOC would appeal to generally arn't on MOCpaes for that long. Or can't be bothered to comment on people's MOCs.

This is a common topic, popularity, either in the form of a single MOC or for a builder in general.

Unfortunately, no single MOC can garnish a great deal of attention unless it is really a monumental creation, or something so original that the whole community is buzzing with conversation about it. Even then, I've seen creations that fit that description fall short of the attention they deserve. It's just that MOCpages has SO many members and the volume of imagery that flows through this site is tremendous.

Some builders gather followers over time because they tend to participate in conversation and post often with quality work. Then, even one of their smaller creations will often get reasonable attention. This is a result, however, of them putting in constant efforts to build their reputations - so while they only spent a short time, perhaps on the work, they've spent months - sometimes years - developing a following.

So, I honestly don't think there's a quick solution, or an easy way to garnish popularity quickly. You either have to invest time and energy into a creation that will be stunning when it finally is posted...or invest time and energy into the community so a lot of people know you, like you, and respond to your work.

I tend to agree with the above I'm not worried about the popularity of my mocs I've only been building a couple of months and as long as I'm happy with it :)
