No. No. No! It's a fleet moc-off from what I gather, thus only ship-type things would be appropriate

I love story making, I hate scene building. Nothing bugs me more than making a scene. And it's not exactly that in Precipice. It started as a group endeavor, it'll end as one.

I honestly don't know. Anders is the best scene builder of us all, Gus second best, and I'm the worst. Going by that, I'm going to have the worst sets, logically. I'll try to make non-plate walls, but pieces are rather hard to stretch out, unlike plates.

you look like you have enough pieces to make the wall out of bricks, just look at your fighters, and mix up the grays

Mixing greys? That breaks the segregation laws of Lego, though! Or at least my segregation laws. Point is, I'm a bit obsessive about color.

really I never noticed,

But use a different color gray for something like support beams, the wall would be 2 studs thick on stud layer one color the other for the other

You could use tiles and plates, like I do.

Unfortunately that means you need regular patterns so you don't run out of parts, which leaves bases looking remarkably colourful.

Well, no.
Less colourful, more 'drab and utalitarian with big patches of tan and dark tan every few feet to add colour'

Okay, gang...no one told me directly that I was to choose the 3rd round subject, so I apologize for the delay. But better late then never, right? And with that, the theme is...

Transport.

The big guns and the swooshable fighters get the glory, but without getting troops from here to there, no fleet would last long. Any scale is cool...can be a massive transport for large numbers, or small transports like drop ships, or even shuttles. Plenty of room for some creative freedom.

I'll leave the deadline up to someone else, but in the mean time, start figuring out the sweetest ride you can muster for the men and women of war!

Good luck to all!

Midterms = middle of semester tests.
School-holidays = Federal holidays listed on our calendars. In college, you only get one per semester usually. I was homeschooled and elected not to get Federal holidays off so I could get to summer/Christmas break faster!

Whoa, what? 1 day? I thought we had till the 26th! I've hardly even been able to build these last three weeks, I've had a frakkin chemical burn on the interior of my stomach...

Edit: Yea, we have till the 26th. I SHOULD be better by then, but again, I SHOULD have been better at least a week ago.

I had a nice vtol, but I've just pulled a Moffatt and destroyed my original to make a much nicer creation. I'm still working on it though...

Although, truthfully, I'm hoping Guss forgot about this round so that I win by default! XD
I doubt that though.

Well, the best of luck Guss!

Well, BK, I really think that the contest is slightly unfair now that our UNE counterparts can see our MOCs and attempt to work hard to make it better. The idea of a MOCoff is going in blind and not knowing what the other is building.

I guess it was moved back because of the time it took for Kelso to choose the topic. Even I forgot to read the comment I made with all the details.

It works for me, I got a few more days to finish my uber mini.

Hm. Dunno if I should judge. Last round I judged, I got called out for being "biased". Honestly, if you guys like plain 'n smooth whereas I prefer spoonfuls of greebles, that's MY personal preference.

Now hey, I didn't say you were "biased", I merely questioned your judgement and reasoning.

I can see what you mean here, but I finished way before and posted pictures of it for you to beat, If I do remember correctly!

You don't mean those taunting WIP pictures that were so blurry I had to get my eyes checked, do you? And really, I had no real way of anticipating your final MOC, I still don't know about this outcome!

Mine should be up like an hour before the deadline.

Lucky, at least you're able to build.

I've been restricted to about 30 minutes a day, because of a burn involving chemicals from pills which were supposed to make me better, stomach acid, and a great deal of life generally throwing everything it has at me for about a month.

AKA, it physically hurt to have to kneel down and build my entry.

AKA, my entry is going to lose. It not might lose, I'm 100% confident it will lose to whatever your entry is. Because it's that bad. Well, time to grit my teeth and take a photo or two.

Yea, it really isn't. My appetite just came back today, too. I've lost, like 8 pounds. That's not healthy.
