I think Bilbo looks good, but he just has too many wrinkles on his face. Does anyone else think the same thing?
I think you're right. But if we talk about Bilbo from the book that figure is perfect. Frodo from the book also looked just like that - he was fifty and had fair hair. So I'm really glad they made fig looking like that :) Permalink

I haven't read the book, but I'll take your word for it. I also really like Dwalin. I think they made him very well. Permalink

Yes he's nice if we talk about the one from the movie. I don't like film dwarves very much. They haven't right beards and hoods ( in book every dwarf had hood in one color).
I agree. Bilbo shouldn't have those lines in his face, it makes him look too old. Though I am very satisfied with the movie version of him. (Remember: Hobbits don't age as fast as men. A hobbit with 33 is a very young adult and a hobbit, aged 50, is still young enough for adventures). Martin Freeman is 40, so he is perfect for Bilbo, not too young and not too old.
I agree about the dwarves as well. They posted the first pictures of them a half year ago, but I still can't stand many of them. The cape colors are not as important to me, but at least Dori, Balin, Dwalin, Kili and Bombur wear clothes that are correctly colored.
I really don't like Thorin and Kili. Kili should have blonde hair, ok he is young, but his beard should be at least as long as Dwalin's. Very disappointing. Richard Armitage is great for Thorin, but his beard should be longer and the hair grey or white.
Fili and Ori are OK, I especially like Ori, he's perfect for a young dwarf... but again the beards are very disappointing.
Bofur is funny, but his beard should be as long as his mousetache, otherwise he doesn't count as a real dwarf.
Nori and Dori are very interesting. Their beards are short, yes, but at least they look like real dwarves.
Bombur is just like I imagine him from the book. The beard is no dwarven beard, but compared to the others just perfect.
Dwalin is the most interesting and detailed character. His beard should be longer andd more "blueish", if possible, but all in all I like him.
Balin, Bifur, Gloin and Oin are the best dwarves. They look individual, but they are still dwarves. Permalink
Wow, that's an opinion! Yes, I agree with you, you have said some important things. That's a big mistake with beards. Most of these dwarves are from Longbeards folk and beard is thing of their honour. It's a pity P.J. and his crew had such an idea. I think they wanted them all to look different, but they made them not-like-dwarf looking. Personally my favourite is Gloin, though he has not a white hood. Permalink
I cannot understand everything, but from what I read in the description I think it's only a poster for the new video game. Saruman and the Balrog look like real designs though, so it is possible that they are minifigs in the new sets. But first the new HOBBIT sets will be released I believe. Permalink

That is the Barrels out of bond set.
Yes, it's amazing. I love the wargs too. The sets show that the first movie will end with Barrels out of bond (as we expected) and not with the burning trees and the eagles, as some rumors said. Permalink

And again we must buy all sets, if we want to get all 13 dwarves. That's even worse than with LOTR.
Well there are far more main characters in The Hobbit (15), whereas there are only 9 in The Lord of The Rings. In Lotr you only have to buy Gandalf Arrives, Shelob attacks, Weathertop, and the Mines of Moria.
Now, I am not too disappointed because almost all of my favorite characters in The Hobbit are in the Bag End Set. (Bilbo, Gandalf, Bombur, Balin, and Dwalin) The only one of my favorites (besides Legolas) left is Fili. Permalink

I wouldn't be so sure, it could just mean that they made the sets before the change was made. The poster for the first movie ended at the burning trees, so it could be that..... don't be sure until we actually see them.
I had that thought too, but I would be disappointed though if that was the case. Besides that I found a video that showed the HOBBIT for 1 day, before it was removed, and in the comments I read that there were spiders. I don't know how much we can believe it though. Permalink

Who else thinks there will be a video game for Lego: The Hobbit? Also, I am in great anticipation as to what the sets will be...
I don't think they will...the story is just not big enough. They should make a lego middle earth video game, a game that has events playable from all of tolkien's books, including the hobbit. Permalink

I think they will, there are lots of part to add in playable areas, they could even do like a part were you have to make the dwarves food at Bag End!
Yes, that would be funny (although a bit boring for my taste :D) and the flight from Goblin-town or Radagast's flight with the bunnies from Azog's hunter orcs and the Necromancer would be awesome to play as well! Permalink
Rethinking a little bit the might have to come in 2015 as there and back again have been pushed back to Dec 2014(Yay, more Lego Hobbit sets FTW) but ireally look forward to it ( if it is ever released)the dwarfs could all have unique abillities , like Dwalin having strength, Bombur cooking(like Sam) and Kili having a bow. And Thorin would have special items like the arkenstone and Orcrist, Ori his book and Oin can use his eartrumpet as a weapon. :D
