I don't know if you already heard this.. (if you live in the US, you did... I heard it's number one now) in the Netherlands, this is a very new song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aI4JLa0hbUw

For you, I think it does indeed sound very childish to listen to a song about fireflies, dreams and sleeping. But for people who don't naturally speak English, it's a completeley different "experience", we don't immediately hear the text... we (I) first have to translate it in our heads. BTW, I'm now listening to the songs you named and I notice (when I translate it), that the text is better than in other songs.

I prefer this kind of music, not music with philisophical texts, but.....you know:

Quoting Architect of Vonthako
And I just love the chorus:

Oh what happened to your imagination
Let's dance this night away
Everyone of us is born a genius
Until we got too cool to play

Yes indeed, it's a good chorus. And I think it applies to every moccer. Since every MOCcer still plays with LEGO, every Moccer is a genius. (sorry for the very late reaction :P)

Wow, some very good songs from him, I may have to buy some of his music. One things for sure, John Reuben certainly knows pretty much how it is.
