"Setting 101" Class
Quoting Angryraccoon !

Sweetness. We'll get started right away! As in, right now. ;) Please go ahead and tell me which vignette of yours(Link to it, please) is the best as far as the setting goes as the first assignment, and we'll get rolling.

OK HeadMaster, hold on....

Here we go: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/170771#reviews

The setting is mentioned in the first 2 paragraphs.

Okay, great! Wow, things are popping! It's like we're live chatting...

Was that "Wow" for the MOC?

It was "Wow" for how fast things are happening in the group!

Anyways, a very nice MOC. Death Troopers intrigues me, was it a good book? Technically, this is a Bignette, but I'll let it slide. ;) In the future, only post 8x8 if you can.
And in setting, I meant not the description, which is good, by the way, but the setting of the MOC, as in how much you show and what you show on the 8x8 vignette. As in, like, what the backdrop of the MOC is(LIke buildings and sidewalks and stuff like that).

Do you want me to post a vignette? I can, if you like.

The501stLEGO, yes. Please do a vignette. NN, yours was very good, but it wasn't 8x8. Sorry! I'll add that to the rules: Only 8x8 vigs, thanks.

Here is my best 8x8: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/167526

Okay, thanks you guys. Now I can get grading!

Lord J: Your fishing thing gets a B+. Nice scenery one this one.

The501stLEGO: B. The setting was a little undifined. Nice vig, but it could use a little bit of touching up.

NN: Nice, although it could use a little bit of touch-up. It feels a little messy. The creek needs to be tiled, maybe, to define it a little more. B+.

Remember, guys, these are your starting assignments. So don't sweat the grades. It'll makemore sense as we move along.

What's our next assignment?

Lord J: B. It could use maybe a broken wall or something, y'know? It does look like rubble, but...

I noticed you edited the one you were grading from "Fishing" to the other one.

Yeah. I saw your post after I graded, then realized that it wasn't 8x8.

Before I post the next assignment, would you guys rather me teach photo quality? I'm just curious.

Nah. I'm pretty good at photo quality. Keep teaching what you are now. :)

Okay, whatevs. The next assignment is going to take a little longer than the last one.

You guys are going to come up with a center scene, like "Monkeys attacking people". Then tell me what surrounds you are going to put them in: "Monkeys attacking people in a supermarket". Then build it. Anything goes, but you have to have follow that pattern. I'll guide you along the way.

Ok, cool. I will start thinking of ideas.

Seriously though, I have thought of what I am going to do. The center scene will be a explosion with droid parts flying everywhere. And the setting will be inside a building.

This is my class. I am teaching "Setting 101". This is pretty much what not and what setting features to include in your vignettes, and how much to include. I will make assignments and hand out grades and the like here.

I'm taking this class, sorry for being a little late, I'll make up for anything you've already done.
