How do I add a photo to my page?
Choose which applies to you:
- I have a photo somewhere on the Internet
- I have a photo on my computer
- I have a regular film camera
Other questions:
1. I have a photo somewhere on the Internet
Just enter the Internet address of your photo into the box provided. Here are
examples what Internet addresses look like:
http://www.seankenney.com/me.jpg
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/sean/Cars/FDNY/1.jpg
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=241994
* If your photos are on Brickshelf™, you will need to wait until your folder is
publicly viewable before you can use this last type of internet address.
Tip: It's a lot easier to copy-and-paste your Internet address than it is to type it by hand!

2. I have a photo on my computer
First, you will need to copy the picture to another computer that is on the Internet.
You should try Brickshelf™.
It is a free service that will let you store as many LEGO® related pictures on the
Internet as you want.
Once your picture is on Brickshelf™, you can come back to MOCpages and follow the
directions in part #1, above.

3. I have a regular film camera
When you develop your photos, try Snapfish™ or
Ofoto™.
They usually cost less than regular film developing, and in addition to giving you prints, they will store
copies of your photos on the Internet.
Once your picture is on Snapfish™ or Ofoto™, you can come back to MOCpages and follow the
directions in part #1, above.

4. Can I add GIF images?
Not yet. Right now, MOCpages only supports JPEG (JPG) files.
Why not?
GIF files use the LZW compression method, which is patented by the UniSys corporation.
In 1999, UniSys declared that any unlicensed software that creates GIF files has to pay a
$5000 fee. We just don't have that kind of money!
Even though your images are saved elsewhere on the Internet, we
create small copies of your images and store them on MOCpages, so that your pages load faster.
To work around this, we are exploring ways to read your GIF files and turn them into JPEGs
for storage here on MOCpages.
