Order of Mata Nui:

The Order of Mata Nui was first formed by Helryx at roughly the same time as both the founding of Metru Nui and the formation of the Brotherhood of Makuta. It was formed as a secret society dedicated to serving the will of the Great Spirit Mata Nui. It was one of the most powerful organizations in the Bionicle universe, and the only groups who were able to rival it were the corrupt Brotherhood of Makuta and a mercenary guild called the Dark Hunters. Their base of operations is located on the island of Daxia, which was built by the overseers of Artahka and Karzahni and the first members.

Toa Ruiysha:

Turaga:

Turaga were Toa who had fulfilled their destiny and given up their Toa Power. Unlike Matoran, Turaga could use Mask Powers, but only those of weaker Noble Masks.

The Turaga were the wise leaders of the Matoran of Mata Nui and the Toa. Each village on Mata Nui had its own Turaga as its leader. On Metru Nui, the Turaga were originally Matoran who had been granted the powers of the Toa Metru by Toa Lhikan. After leaving Metru Nui, the Toa Metru gave up their Toa powers to revive the Matoran and live on Mata Nui.

Brotherhood of Shadows:

The Brotherhood was first appointed as a kind of "sculpting guild" under a different name by the Great Beings to genetically and metaphysically alter beings, keeping the universe efficient and devoid of decay. Later, either by coercion or reputation, they grew in power, becoming personal bodyguards of Mata Nui and "protectors" of the Matoran and Metru Nui. Their servants and armies included the likes of the Toa Hagah, Visorak, Fohrok, Dark Hunters, and Exo-Toa. However, this degree of power was not enough to satisfy them; they wanted to rule over everything.

With their armies, the Brotherhood would conquer foreign lands, killing or enslaving the natives. They realized the threat of the Mask of Light, and stole it on a mission. They were all but unstoppable. The Toa Hagah quickly found that the Brotherhood they served was corrupt, and sought the Mask. They battled many Visorak, Fohrok, and Dark Hunters, and stole the Avokhii. However, Roodaka came before they could make their hasty escape. After a short fight, the Hagah were now Rahaga, a fiendish mutation of Rahkshi and Toa Hagah. They were imprisoned, defeated, and humiliated, but they still had the mask, hiding it away for another generation to find.

The Voya Nui Resistance

The Voya Nui Resistance Team was a Voya Nui-based Matoran group dedicated to saving the island from the Piraka. They were the first ones to realize the Piraka weren't really Toa, and the only six Matoran who weren't infected by the Piraka's Zamor Spheres

* Garan - leader of the Team. Onu-Matoran.
* Balta - second-in command. Is one of the weapon designers. Ta-Matoran.
* Piruk - spy of the Team. Le-Matoran.
* Kazi - realist of the Team. Ko-Matoran.
* Velika - weapon designer. Speaks in riddles. Po-Matoran.
* Dalu - warrior of the Team. Ga-Matoran.

Nynrah Ghosts

The Nynrah Ghosts were a group of approximately four dozen Matoran crafters from the island of Nynrah. The Nynrah Ghosts are the only known Fe-Matoran, (Matoran of Iron). Little is known about them, except that they modified the Makuta's armor when the Makuta evolved. They also created the Nynrah Ghostblasters, hence the name..

Other devices they made were the Exo-Toa, Zamor Launchers, and Fohrok. However, they secretly sabotaged the Fohrok, and upon learning of this, the Brotherhood of Makuta hired multiple Dark Hunters to execute the Matoran responsible. One Nynrah Ghost eventually became a Dark Hunter named Phantom.

In the Parallel Universe, the Nynrah Ghosts were wiped out by a team of Toa led by Nidhiki.

Vehicles

The vehicles were used mostly in the swamp of shadows.

Dark Hunters

The Dark Hunters were an Organization of Bounty Hunters, Thieves, and Warriors.

They were not exactly good or evil but rather amoral, taking any job that payed well enough. However, their practices were rather shadowy and violent, and they were often hired by evil groups such as the Brotherhood of Makuta. As such, they were often rightly considered villains. Dark Hunters were generally at least as powerful as heroic Toa, and almost every Hunter had a story of when they killed a Toa on a mission. The Dark Hunters were led by a mysterious figure only known as The Shadowed One, and commanded some mutant Rahi.
