I got my first real LEGO set for Christmas way back in '76. I was at the age of three then. It was the 368 red taxi garage with blue roof and yellow doors. Since then I'm caught. I'm still amazed, stunned, thrilled by those fantastic plastic bricks...
In the '80s I saw my first Star Wars film. Same story there, stunning experience!
In my teens and adult age, I almost forgot about LEGO and Star Wars, but when TLC decided to combine the two in 1999 it was the start of my emerging from the Dark Ages.
I'm still into the Sci-Fi genre and prefer to build futuristic space craft and vehicles. I also tend to build in minifig scale and I like function in my MoCs.
Regarding invitations to groups: I'm always flattered when invited, but due to lack of time I always have to say no thanks. I wouldn't be much of a contribution anyway...
