CY-EV's Journey

Hi! My name is Cyril Kulteshev (a.k.a. CY-EV).
(Formerly known as "Architect of Vonthako", "Architect of Mythica", "Architect of My Own Matrix", and "Cyril Kulteshev")

I'm an AFOL, and I've been building with LEGO® ever since I can remember. I'm usually quite friendly. If you ask me a question, I'll likely answer. If you start a conversation, I'll talk with you.
I ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR ANYTHING!
---------
BTW, I'm on Flickr too.
I also have a [non-LEGO®] blog.
---------
I do appreciate constructive criticism on my MOCs. Don't be hesitant to tell me what you think needs improvement on an MOC I made.
Most of the models you see here were constructed using a freeware program called LeoCAD. LeoCAD/LDraw MOCs are my specialty, so please don't bug me with comments like "I wanna see you build this with REAL LEGOs!".
If *you* want to replicate one of my MOCs with real LEGOs, ask my permission to use my design (chances are I'll let you), and give me credit on your MOC for the original design.

Here are the web addresses to the main LeoCAD website and the parts updates.
>>> Main LDraw website: ldraw.org
(Be sure to get the latest parts, along with MLCAD & LDView)
>>> Main LeoCAD website
http://www.leocad.org/
* (Both LDraw & LeoCAD are based off the LDraw parts library, so you can import .DAT LEGO piece files into LeoCAD. Also, LeoCAD can be used to open .LDR files (though some of the color of the model may be reset to black.)
>>> And here's an LDraw equivalent for Mac:
Bricksmith
(I don’t use Macs, so don’t ask for tech support).
Unofficial updates can be found here:
>>> http://www.philohome.com/leoupd/leoupd.htm
>>> http://www.philohome.com/nxtleocad/nxtleocad.htm
>>> Some custom parts (including custom female torsos) can be found here.
>>> For custom decals: Lego CAD Sticker Generator.
>>> And here's a link to LEGO instructions to get you started: Brickfactory

If anyone would like any of the completed files that contain my MOCs (mere kilobytes in size), you may email me at mythica.architect (at) gmail.com . The file is in .lcd format (a LeoCAD project file) or I can send you the .ldr file (a more popular format for use with ldraw programs like MLCAD & LDView) - or both. I simply ask that you do not try to pass my work off as your own and that you ask for my explicit permission before using my designs. Thanks!
BTW, if anyone would like me to make a custom LeoCAD model for them, just send me the specifications and I'll let you know if I can do it.
Also, please don't ask me to send you LDD files. I don't like using LDD, and I don't use it for my MOCs. If you request some of my files, I will send it to you in the formats I described above. If you want to try to convert them to LDD, you may do that on your own. I'll even provide a link to an article on how to do that for you:

OK, so a bit about myself? Sure...
First and foremost, I am a follower of Christ - my belief in His divinity defines my worldview. That is all I will say about that here, if anyone wishes to discuss this further, have a debate, or whatever, then please email me, and let's keep MOCpages a civil place to enjoy LEGO stuff.
Also, I am an INTJ, according to the Meyer-Briggs personality test, and this type corresponds to the Mastermind type of the Kiersey Temperament Sorter.
My political views are rather idealistic. I believe in balance and moderation in politics, as well as most other things in life.
I was born in Leningrad (now Saint Petersburg), U.S.S.R. (the Soviet Union) back in 1987, moved to America when I was about 8 years old, and finally got my U.S. citizenship in summer of 2008.
