About Me:
Hello, I'm Ben and I am a Legohaulic! I live in South Africa and I'm a TFOL. I have been building with Lego my whole life because I inherited my older brother's collection when I was born. That one container full of bricks has grown into the large collection that I have today. You will mostly see Star Wars creations from me as it is my favourite theme. I also buy Collectible Minifigures- I have collected all 6 Series. As well as building with them, I also customize minifigures with decals. You can see my latest creations on my Flickr account, before I add them here. Unfortunately I am quite busy during the school term and I can only build once every few weeks. If you take the time to look at my creations, I am sure you won't be disappointed...
My Comment Policy:
Generally if you leave me a comment, I will leave you one, unless your comment is only one or two words long or is just asking me to check out your MOC/join a group. Those types of comments do not help me improve my building techniques or find out what I have done well and can be quite annoying.
If you are one of my Favourite Builders or comment frequently on my MOCs and you leave me a comment, I will probably not return it straight-away. I normally wait to comment on your newest MOC when you post it as I have normally seen and commented on your latest MOCs that you have up already.
If you plan to leave a negative comment, please give me some constructive criticism, or don't comment. I accept that not everyone likes my creations, but if you aren't giving me any advice then you aren't actually being helpful.
MOCpages Achievements:
7 of my creations have been on the "Popular this Week" section on the Explore page. The 3 that did not move on to other sections are: "Let's make this a bit more interesting!", Yavin IV Celebrations and 1 Year Anniversary. Storming a Droid Factory, The Battle of Talus and The Force Unleashed: Mission to Kashyyyk made it onto the "Most Discussed" section. My 100th creation, Lego Star Wars Complete Saga Tower, moved through both Explore sections and onto the "Across MOCpages" section on the homepage.
292 people have added me as a favourite builder and I have built 170 creations since I first joined MOCpages on the 28th of April 2009. I have celebrated 2anniversaries here so far and I hope to celebrate many more.
Contest Achievements:
I have entered 9 contests so far. I came first in the Summer Creation Contest, the Rebel Commando Contest, the 2010LegoStarWarsTounament (with my partner Philipp the all mighty), and the Imperial Conquest Admin Contest. My entry for the Summer Creation Contest came second in the Zoo Creation Contest. I came third in the 8x8 Challenge. I also entered the Speeder Bike Contest, the Empire Strikes Back contest and the 457th Corps: Leave Competition.
Philipp the all mighty and I created the Star Wars Battlefront Contest in 2010 and successfully ran and it and judged entries for it. I also helped judge Flare's MOC Speed Contest in 2012.
Bloggings:
My custom ARC Trooper Fives was blogged on Minifigures.org in November 2011. In the same month, my Clone Commanders image was bloggedtwice on Flare's Choice and Minifigures.org.
