I grew up in Fairbanks and have spent over 27 years in the state of Alaska. I attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks and received my BA in Journalism in 2002 and went to work as a reporter and anchor for the local NBC affiliate. After returning to UAF to study business, I graduated with my MBA in May 2008. For a while I worked in outreach and marketing, but now I am head of public relations for the State of Alaska in the Department of Environmental Conservation.
I've been building LEGO for as long as I can remember. I've got well over 300,000 bricks and I continue to collect and build as much as I can. The things I build are not much of a comparison against the artists of the lower 48 states and the rest of the world. People in Alaska don't get a lot of exposure to good LEGO work, but I strive to make good things happen and inspire others as much as I can.
