BHFR runs out of a total of 9 fire stations throughout the city and also a training academy to serve the greater county [60] area. BHFR was founded 2009 and operates 12 engines, 6 trucks/quints, 3 rescues, 1 haz-mat, 2 water rescue boats and numerous squads and support vehicles and all are ALS non- transport. BHFR receives EMS services through county [60] EMS.

my dad has been a paramedic/EMT for 26 years and grew up around my dads station and i have been a boy scout for 5 years and my dad currently does dispatch.I would like to be a firefighter with Austin fire department when i grow up.
