The Eye of the Oracle- A Question to Christians.
(Philippians 3:14, I John 5:18, Titus 1:16, James 4:4) Imagine for a moment that thereís someone with a disturbing ability. They can look through your eyes whenever they so please and for as long as they desire. We donít know who or where this person is, it could be anyone, or how often theyíll use this newfound power; from now on this person can see what you see and see your life. If this were true, would you live differently? (What would you change)
Ask yourself, what would that person see? Examine your life, the habits you form now will be hard chains to break when you grow older. Would your life be a positive or negative influence? Would this person know you are a Christian just by peering in, or would they have to guess as you sit in your assigned seat at church? Being in church doesnít make you Christian anymore than standing in a garage makes you a car, it is Christ in your heart that makes the difference. So, would they see the love of Jesus in you, see you walking step in step with Him, or even pressing on toward that heavenward goal (Philippians 3:14), or would they be staring at a tv or computer screen throwing their life to video games and worldly entertainment alongside you?
What is your foremost desire, truly? Is it to get a high score in a video game or is it to love God? What takes precedence over your time and energy? From video games to music, it could be anything, but if it is the main object of your life then that has become your God.
Everything you do either moves you toward a goal or away. You are letting your hopes, dreams, and relationship with the Almighty slip through your figures. This world is just a testing ground; life is a fading wind, and itís passing you by.
