I was a very enthusiastic Lego builder in my youth. Family legend has it that Grandma brought my first set over from Germany before Lego was commercially available in the U.S. I have quite a few rare pieces including older large-scale people, minifigure-scale "people" before they had arms or legs, and a few of the classic vehicles and Space sets. Perhaps I'll post some of my oddities here someday.
Today my Lego passion has been reborn through my children. My daughter and I enjoy creating simple Lego and Duplo creations. My son enjoys wrecking them! They both help me scour yard sales and thrift shops for used sets.
I'm not quite as ambitious as some of the adult builders out there. I usually get the Lego bug around autumn, and we start off Lego season with a haunted house model, and build through Christmastime. Lately I have been enjoying replicating New England architectural styles through Lego.
