Welcome to my quite empty page that hopefully will soon be filled. Stay tuned for some hopefully interesting stuff!
about lego
I recently rediscovered LEGO as a hobby again. Of course, I played with that stuff when I was a kid, however, I lost interest after years. With growing interest and knowledge about cars especially, I grabbed my old boxes of bricks again and started building. It's just amazing what you can make out of parts you thought you knew with a bit of technical insight in real-life mechanics (not that I'm too much of an expert on that area, however, I hope I'm better than the generic 10-year-old...).
about building
I work with LEGO Technic only, and I'm almost exclusively building studless. I don't work with alien (non-Lego) plastic parts, however I often customize some parts to fit my needs. Customizing includes cutting, shaping, painting or other stuff when necessary. I've been experimenting with a few non-plastic alien elements like rubber bands, where the Lego defaults just don't do it for me, however as of now, none of these elements has been required.
I enjoy building working mechanics that do stuff, nuff said: Primarily cars, but also any other mechanic that provides a challenge.
As the main goal is functionality, my creations might not be very realistic in appearance: They should rarely feature driver's seats, fake cylinder blocks or the like. However, I'm trying to give my models a max of visual quality, meaning there won't be clashing colors or ugly brick chunks. Still, if the finished model doesn't allow for a neat shell to be applied, then it won't have a neat shell applied - it's as easy as that.
