Hey folks, I'm Mike Bernd. I first started building Legos when I was like 2 or 3, playing with the kits my older brother had. I joined the online community in September of 2006 with a Brickshelf account, and later created a MOCpages after the Brickshelf mods were trying to shut the site down (in the end, they didn't). Since I was home schooled from 2nd to 8th grade (shout out to all you home-schoolers out there), I had a ton of free time and spent hours each day building new creations. Over half of what you see in this gallery was built during that period.
My favorite things to build are Vignettes and Minifigs, and I have a massive collection of creations and parts stashed about my room. This gets awkward when girls comes over. The MOCs I have on this this site span 6 years and counting, so if something looks out of date or corny it's gonna be something I made when I was like 13. My all time favorite set is 6195 Neptune's Discovery Lab, but I have a soft spot just about every set that came out in the mid-1990s. As of 2012, I've left home to get an education and have no access to my collection of little plastic toys.
I don't just play with Legos, though. Music is a serious passion of mine; I play the accordion, guitar and piano. I love concerts too, and some of the sickest shows I've seen are Dropkick Murphys, Marilyn Manson, Nightwish, Sublime with Rome, Warbringer, Leftöver Crack, Gwar, Municipal Waste, Ghost, All Time Low (not proud to admit that) Mastodon, Joan Jett, Reel Big Fish, Clutch and Anti-Flag. A dedicated outdoorsman, I spend a ton of time hiking and camping. I'm also an experienced sailor. And yes, I smoke cigarettes, if you don't like that then too bad. I hope you like my creations, if you don't then leave a scathing review.
