Welcome To The Aran Archives

This corner of Mocpages is dedicated to my fictional universe that gives birth to all of my creations. If you do not wish to read my babblings, then please do scroll past this part and read the background story of the main race I follow in my universe. You may also want to look at the list of creations I am planning to construct.
I am from Birmingham, United Kingdom and was born here (1990), i started lego very young and then stopped for quite a while as i did not receive any new sets and got bored with what i had. One of my family members then bought me a lego space set and i was hooked once more. I do not have a great collection, but that is not a limitation, it is a challenge that you can overcome in hundreds of different ways. The less you have, the more thought you put into your creations.
I support the use of official lego and passoinately detest people who cut, melt or modify their lego through physical damage. This includes plastering them with poor quality paint jobs. It does not make your creations better if you make your own parts, they look atrocious and are a waste of lego pieces.
With that said, have a look around!

Aran History

For over 2000 years a group of humans known as the Aran developed in total isolation on the planet Arania. Having been brought there as slaves 200 years before by a race known as the Antaru, the Antaru soon harvested all useful minerals and materials from the planet only to abandon the Aran people when they were finished. 2000 years later, the Aran have now developed hyper drive technology and begun exploration of the galaxy. Currently, the Aran do not pose a substantial military threat to the Antaru who have enslaved many worlds throughout the galaxy. Due to this the Antaru pay little attention to Aran operations. However, the Aran have declared war upon the Antaru for their past offences against the Aran people and all human worlds and have vowed to free all enslaved worlds from Antaru oppression.

Throughout their exploration of the galaxy, the Aran have made many allies in their war against the Antaru and a few new enemies also. One of these such enemies was responsible for the great plague that forced the Aran to abandon Arania not so long ago. The Aran were only able to evacuate a mere 40,917 people before the planet was swept of all life by the mysterious virus. Now the Aran are in a state of rebuilding their civilisation on another planet in a neighbouring system. Despite this, the Aran continue to gather strength against the Antaru. They have already built two new ships on New Arania and set up a protective grid of defence satellites.

Furthermore, they have traded for more than a dozen new vessels of non-Aran origin to incorporate into the fleet, as well as new technologies to aid them. While the Antaru do not see the Aran as a serious threat, they are aware of their presence and have numerous times dispatched ships to destroy the Aran following Aran interference in their operations.
