No, I'm not from Cape Cod. In fact, I'm on the other side of the country, Portland, Oregon to be precise. I am Awesome-o-saurus The Not-So-Great, now at AFOL status. Just tack on another year come September 30th, and do the same for my account on September 17th. Who is Awe, as my compatriots call me? This account has been around since 2007 (an active 5-year user? I wonder how many of those there are.), though I had known of this site since at least 2005. I've been doing Lego since September of '97, a fun little set. For a while, I was a big Star Wars nerd, and that's never really died. But, I've since moved on to mainly the themes of 23rd Century on the Coalition side, by the grace of Ian MacDonald, and the Pacific Union, created by yours truly, and brought into maturity by Nick Shelton. I have a good score more of others who have helped me and been helped by me along the way. It's been a long journey, from foolish eighth grader to still pretty foolish college freshman. Want to know what I've found out? As time passes, we learn, and we change. We look back and realize just how little we knew then. We know little now still, but at least it's more than then. That's some legit wisdom there, you should listen to me. I'm like an old guy without wrinkles or grey hair. So, here you are, viewer. Have some quotes. Or, go check out my stuff, help me get more worthy things on my top 3 list. Or listen to music by the underrated Giovanni Palestrina.
Edict of Awe's Room in Portland, September the Ninth, Anno Domini two thousand and twelve: In preparation for a new era of MOCing, I have deleted the Droid Trek comics for repeated offense to my grammatical and story-telling senses.
Quoting Areetsa C:
"...You're pretty much the poster overlord for villainous yet somewhat honourable behaviour."
Quoting Tim Cliffe:
"You are a walking bastion of hatred, evil and blasphemy. Is it just me or are you trying to get people to hate you?"
Quoting Toby Jones:
"You cannot stop me! I can only be contained!"
Quoting Wilford Brimley:
"Do the best you can with what you've got."
Quoting Teng Mu:
"Empty space is like a kingdom, and earth and sky are no more than a single individual person in that kingdom. Upon one tree are many fruits, and in one kingdom there are many people. How unreasonable it would be to suppose that, besides the earth and the sky which we can see, there are no other skies and no other earths."
Viewer, mah boi, these MOCs are what all true mediocredecentaspiring good builders strive for!
