The Quadrant War

Greetings. I'm going to start with how the war started, and then introduce you to some of our heroes.

The United Nations Aeronautical Force had designed its first armed Deep Space Exploration Vessel, the Nebuchadnezzar class of Cruisers. Starting with the UNSS Nebuchadnezzar. The Nebuchadnezzar went off to explore deep space when it came upon a distress call from a planet called Emerson. the Nebuchadnezzar responded immediately and was ambushed by the Illuminati Covenant. A large group of aliens from the Beta Quadrant, the Elites had conquered the other species and formed a pact, they called it the Illuminati Convenant. After the UNAF lost contact with the Nebuchadnezzar they sent another ship, the Virgo to investigate. The Virgo was also destroyed, but not before it managed to send a distress message back to Earth. However, the Covenant traced it and discovered Earth. They believed earth to be a Holy world that they had been searching for. And they were disgusted that it was infested by the Humans, it launched great attacks on earth, using thousands of ships. they wiped out half of Earth's population in one attack. Earth is attacked daily by small raiding fleets, just to tantalize the humans defending earth.

The Humans also managed to turn Mars into a desert planet that could support life. and had set-up numerous cities. But the Covenant had also attack them to. and had captured mars as a starting base for its attacks on Earth. There are still 2 Human Stronholds left on Mars. Olympus, the Capital city is where out main hero Evan Ries was born. He grew up on the planet of Mars and is an expert at tactics in the harsh barren desert, this also got him promoted on the fast track to Captain. He is in charge of Insurgent Squad Alpha, they are slowly trying to recapture Mars.
