A long time ago, there was an age of peace and prosperity among all the inhabitants of our beloved home Planet: Terra Supernus .

But the age of peace was nearing an end, because greedy aliens demanded our resources. For a time, we were able to supply them with our superfluous goods. Eventually they wanted one thing more than any other, the precious, rare and incredibly powerful element: Unuseptium. This was where humanity drew the line. Unuseptium was the most common source of power in all the city-states of Terra Supernus, including some of the ones in the colonies.

There was none to spare, and even if there was, we thought of the future. A future as hosts to a threatening alien parasite seemed like no future at all. When we refused, the aliens released all hell upon Terra Supernus. Their leader's guards killed every political representative in the office. We knew immediate action was necessary.

Several factions arose; each demanded the government's support. They all had their own ideas on conquering, or submitting to, the aliens. The government's Republic vetoed all of the factions unanimously. Most of the factions decided that they had to continue regardless. They sought out the leaders of the nearby City-States and asked for their support. Certain city-states supplied the factions with food and shelter in exchange for their protection, while others agreed to house the opposing faction and the aliens they submitted too.
