here you can learn more about the biomechanical beings on a distant planet in a far future, that came to existence by unheard incidents.
I'm an AFOL from Germany and i will present my Bionicle-type MOCs and some background story.
After constructing with all type of LEGOŽ since i was a kid, it turned finally out, that i like Bioncle best. It is LEGOŽ, action figure, robots, SciFi and collectible all in one toy! When it came up, i was totally amazed until today, when i finally made friends with Hero-Factory too...
My MOCs aren't all custom, there are modified, revamped, upgraded LEGOŽ original designs as well. I kept them, correcting what i considered as defecient, to become finally a part of my folk of biomechs. LEGOŽ always had some very well designed Bionicle-sets, but was parsimonious with parts at the same time.
So many of my MOCs come from revamping, but there are also some original MOCs that i'm particularly proud of.
Another issue is the use of custom-parts. There are some problems of "interconnectivity" that LEGOŽ still haven't solved, so i began to make some connectors by myself to get the result i have in mind, mostly they're quite hidden, and i exchange them for suitable, original parts, as soon as possible. So i'm not a purist, but i try to be one.
Although i like many of the original sets, i did not like the story behind them that much. I had already a small universe for my system-spaceship and mecha-MOCs so i just placed them there, gave other names, designed a nomenclature. When HF came up i had some difficulties, because i don't like the story also, and the the 2.0-system is very cool but less compatible, and it took some time to create a new branch for my background story.
After all, this is only blabla, because there were two important things happening 2012. First i got a load of 2000 parts for only a few bucks from a private deal. Second i found MOCpages. What was happening now, that after
roughly 3 decades of mocing quite isolated, i had the input and the material to enhance all my MOCs. So i scanned the Bionicle-section here, analyzed, compared, collected ideas and solutions. And i got the impression, that if i was gonna post my MOCs here, i had to meet some standards. And i spent the last few months revising everything, hesitating to post something. MOCpages is a treasure, i found so much that brought me further in mocing.
