Casino Town
Casino Town - scene inspired by Las Vegas.
About this creation

Casino Town

Casino Town - scene inspired by Las Vegas. This MOC was created with 30 000 - 50 000 bricks. The idea to do something like this came soon after my last Vegas trip in August 2004. I finally implemented it this summer.

Thanks for the kind reviews already! There were some questions in them. I would have liked to do the lighting but there are some many things to light up that it would be impossible with lego lights and would not be happy to do it with non-lego way. I also thought about expanding the scene already but it's unlikely that will happen due to lack of time.

The buildings are finished properly in the backside too.

   A good view from streets.

Bird's eye view of the whole town.

A street corner view from above.

A trouble maker has been caught by the police. A crowd is gathering to follow the scene.

   Some traffic.

   Another hotel casino complex.

A well known hamburger restaurant chain sits there too.

Another shot of the hotel and the restaurant.

   Some street life.

The oldest casino building in town.

A roof is a good place for commercial advertising.

And yet some more of the busy street life.

You should have placed Star Wars figures in it, It will give more feeling of the dressing up that happens in vegas, if oyu have fabuland put one in there too, If you have studios minifigs with dress up stuff, Same for that! WELL DONE Its huge! As already said, Insides would be great, perhaps the MC?

Really cool. The sign must have took a lot of work. Hey! Everything must have took a lot of work. Only I wish I could see inside the hotels.

Brilliant! Nice street details. The Casino signs above the first floor are realistically garish. If you consider expanding your diorama, consider that the great thing about doing Vegas is that you can work in just about every theme: Besides the monorail that connects some of the Strip's hotels there is Castle (Excaliber), Egyptian (Luxor), Pirates (Treasure Island), and even Space (Star Trek exhibit at the Hilton)....

Hey.. This is an excellent moc. So many things make it what it is, the casino signs, the Coke sign, the busy street, even the McDonalds. Everything looks awesome. Nice work!
