My K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider built in Lego. With super pursuit mode, convertible mode, flip-up headlights and working scanner +++ VIDEO

About this creation

Everybode knows the TV series from the 80's, KNIGHT RIDER.
The Famous car of it, K.I.T.T. (Knight Industries Two-Thousand) was very impressive, so I decided to built it (or better "him"?).

KITT is mostly built with TECHNIC parts, but I used lots of plates to cover the holes.
It has only got ONE motor, for driving and activating the Scanner.

Length: 49 cm
Width: 17 cm
Hight: 16 cm

The Functions:

Steering

Scanner

Actuated rear axle

3-Speed Gearbox + Reverse

Super Pursuit Mode

Convertible Mode (C-Button)

Working Flip-up headlights

Steering "Wheel" turns with the steering

Rear Suspension

T-Top

Doors can be opened

Sorry, "Turbo Boost" and "Ski-Mode" were to difficult to built, so I can't built them into it... :-(

its good except that trans ams wasnt convertibles until a few years later but its realy good and lifelike I know my parents drive a trans am

I know, trans ams are not convertibles, but KITT in the 4th season of Knight rider is a convertible. And this KITT isn't for sale!

Marvin, i can't believe my eyes! You did it , you made it in Lego, and it's looking great. All these working functions, and i thought my James Bond car was good! Keep using your bricks like that....
