Halo Covenant Spectre
The Covenant Spectre from Halo 2 in LEGO form, brought to you by Saber-Scorpion at long last!
About this creation
The minifigs shown here were made using DECAL (STICKER) designs custom-drawn by me. I now provide a printing service for these decals HERE.

After taking a long hiatus from building any Halo creations, I posted this
on September 2, 2005.

Since this is, as of now, my newest Halo model, I think it's probably one
of my best. I compared this to every LEGO Spectre currently on the
Internet, to make sure it was at least up to par with them all (in my
eyes, anyway). A lot of people made the Spectre in red and dark red, but I
stuck with blue, to make it match my other models.

Another reason I didn't make this red is because I was reserving most of
my red and dark red bricks for the Xarkon faction of Nova Refuge. The
Victorians forces have suffered as a result of my LEGO Covenant
vehicles...

The Covenant match for the Warthog, this is definitely the coolest vehicle
Halo 2 added (even if it might be the only one). It's too bad you didn't
get to drive it more in the campaign.

Here it is waiting for a pilot to hop in. It took me forever to get all of
the angles right. The back and sides are attached to the middle by hinges.

Some people tell me my LEGO version is too fat. Wow. Maybe they need to
play the game again - mine is actually a bit thinner and sleeker than the
actual in-game model. The thing looks like it's pregnant with a Ghost or
something.

The gun turret on this thing may look cool and sound cool, but it's not
really all that great in multiplayer. A shame.

Here's the miniscule rear booster. For some reason the secondary ability
for all Covenant vehicles is to boost. The Banshee even lost its fuel rod
gun this way (unless I just can't find the button).

Here's the bottom, if you cared to see it. Not extremely detailed, but it
works.

Size comparison with my Ghost. It's actually pretty accurate with the
game, if you check. I took photos of them both in the game side-by-side to
make sure it was right. Too bad all the pictures stink. Man, I wish Halo 2
would come out for the stinkin' PC.

Time to go run over some Covenant with their own vehicles!

In response to some reviewers:
Maybe you need to look at the Spectre in the game again - it's indeed QUITE fat. In fact, mine probably isn't fat enough. Wait, here's a screenshot for you:

I LOVE your models + weapons. Very great uses of the pieces. BTW, I have a great halo sniper if you want it (not exactly "minifig scale" though- little big) You should really put more effort into the minifigs. All you does is encase stuffin stickers. And to freedman, those figs obviously aren't sold.

freeman: try checking my website shop! ;) Master Cheif: actually, the ghost is a dark purple and the Spectre is a reddish purple. But since LEGO makes very few purple parts, I use blue.

Re: Daniel Livingston Posted January 11, 2008: dude! thats the best covenant spectre iv'e ever seen. have you noticed that in the game its more redish than purple? mabye im just color blind. 5/5 good job! plz review my moc pages. Response: Dude, you must BE color blind! The thing is BLUE for pete's sake! How can BLUE be PURPLE??? Anyway, GREAT MOC! I agree with your description of it in-game. ("pregnant with a Ghost or something" LOL!) I think it looks better the way you designed it.

An incredible custom for the best vehicle in the game! Great attention to detail, and it captures the perfect "chubby" look. To all you noobs pretending to be scorp: Lay off! if your going to be insulting peeps, at least make up a name and not ruin someones reputation.

About the new Marines: If you look closely on the Marine Helmet, you can see a camera and a light or something like that on the side of it. And, Scorp, give the BR a chance...What do you got against Modern Day soldiers?

Excellent as we all can expect. Just so you you know, that is my new signiture opening phase for all my reviews for you now. The spectre is accurate, only a little too sleek. I totally agree that the spectre if fat in the game. also what was the name of the website that you got the olive drab suits from, when I finally decided to possibly get them, you removed the link from your website.

Well, it was about time I reviewed some of your stuff. I remeber being undesisive about this MOC, but I am sure this time, it's pretty good, of course you have better, the techniques and design are good and accurate, my only problem is that it's blocky and studdy in some parts...just like mine actually! haha. And blue doesn't quite fit, but you already explained, and I hate people who take points off for covenant vehicle colors. Anyway, good MOC, a little late but I have missed reviweing a lot of your mocs in MOCpages, 4/5.

Not bad. It is one of the better spectres out there. I can't say I like the light gray pieces all over. It would of definely looked better with dark gray. The front looks a little bit long and skinny and I don't really like it, but I can also see that you didn't rally have any options with the design ou were going for. As for color scheme, You pulled it off pretty good for using blue even though the really thing is closer to red. I have to agree with you on the marines though. Halo 1 marines were way better. These new marine look stupid and I don't feel bad if i ly betray them. Anyway, You did good on the marines. (the helmet looks a little bit too Halo 1 though, but maybe that's what you were going for)

Well, very good custom, to say the least...I like the main body, great use of those curved slopes, and I also love the way the hatch opens. My only complaint would be the turret, that looks somewhat strange, even if it's not terrible. Also...where did you get the minifigs for the Marines?

Well, Scorp, I don't play Halo, but I can still say that this is awsome! I love blue, and the way you combined blue and dark blue is superb. I really like this.

Nice. I personaly don't see much of a diffrance between it and the other spectres floating around out there. What I really liked was the fact that you showed a size comparison with the Ghost, up 'till then I had been thinking it was too big but seeing it side by side to the ghost really put it in perspective. 4.5/5, but since I can't give it a 4.5/5 on MOC pages I'll give you the benifit of the doubt.
