EX-81 Lightning
About this creation
Another izzo inspired mecha. The EX-81 Lightning is fast, agile, and suited for air combat. I particularly like how the rear boosters turned out. Build time: about 8 hours. This is my 3rd mecha ever.

UPDATE (3/8/09): new photos, modified the hands and added sidearm.

Wow, you're Japanese; never would've guessed that (sarcastically) (not being racist, just sayin' that Japanese have awesome battle robots with a distinguished building style). 5/5

Well, I could start improvising an eloquent speech, but I have only one thing to say, and sometimes simplicity is the best thing you can use: good job, and congratulations on MOTD.

Quoting Jay Howard I like it, but could put up a basic Izzo style frame for us to use? I don't know if I have the peices.
This doesn't use any of the construction techniques that Izzo uses. This is one of my oldest MOCs.

Quoting Commander Faelo Another awesome creation. Also, did you get the "Life is like a tub of Lego bricks. You never know what your going to get." from Forest Gump? Because in Forest Gump (movie) He says to...I forget, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get". If you DID get it from that..Cool! It's a good movie! If not... You gotta watch the movie!
this is an old MOC in my book. and yes, I did watch Forrest Gump, great movie. Obviously I changed what he said a bit.

Quoting Jon Willoughby Great mech! I like the colour scheme you've used here: P-81 Lightning air fighter style. The chunky styling is great too; and I especially like the boosters on the back. The head design is good as well! When you commented on Phong Chang's "Test Mecha 01: Bayonet", you said you were hoping if some good Asian builders had visited your site, so you put the flag counter there. Coincidence; I came across your homepage just after I moved from Malaysia to America! I'm just 1/4 Malaysian, but I'm a quarter British and the rest is Asian. I'm not a 'good builder', but there's another Malaysian builder on MOCpages, I think: C. K. Yee, A photoshop whiz and a great mini builder.
This is actually one of my older mechs, and if I didn't take it apart I would much improve on it. I'm hoping that some builders like izzo have taken note of me.

Quoting joshua j i've a some questions.#1 have you ever seen code geass any season?#2 have ever tried to make one of there nightmares?i have but i broke it apart to make my very own speder.just in case you don't know what the hack i'm talking about there a special type of robotic vehicals that has wheels on the back of there legs that the riders inside can zip through the battlefield with a special hatch that can force inside it's back so that they can control it from the inside with an eject button for emergancys.
I've watched Code Geass but I don't have the right colors to make any of the Knightmares out of Lego, except maybe the Panzer Hummel.
