Introduction
Triple changers are one of my favorite types of G1 transformers (or
recent ones). Its fun trying to figure how a robot can transform into
two alternate mode, and display a distinctiveness and uniqueness of each
mode.
Springer is yet another desired toy of mine back in the 80s that I
never get to acquire. Thanks to a recent exoforce set, I am able to
finally create him! Yes, glorious green slope parts are sourced from
that exoforce set. (start guessing fellow lego fans!)
This time around, the challenge I am "forcing" myself to accept, is
to keep his rotor intact all the way to his battletank mode. This means
it needn't be dismantled and connected somewhere else
mid-transformation.
In the original Springer, his rotor blades turns into a sword. I
attempted that but I'm not satisfied with it, let's just say the blades
is not "sharp" enough to my liking. Later on, you';ll know where these
blades ended up as =)
One of Springer's distinctive feature are his square cheek with
another hollowed square hole. It resemble an underside of a LEGO 1 x 1
brick!
