An attempt at making a Desert Eagle. OMG it actually fires something this time.
About this creation
Well here is my newest MOC. I decided to build a pistol instead of a bolt action rifle simply because I wanted to practice with making a weapon shoot. A pistol is very easy to make, so I figured thats what I'll start with.
Here is a back view of the Desert Eagle...
The gear mechanism. The weapon itself can hold 5 rubber-bands. It can fire semi-auto or burst fire (3 shots per squeeze of the trigger) The mechanism is a upgraded version of Bohdan Tkachenko's firing pin. (I upgraded it of course). The only problem from making an actual firing weapon, is that in the long run it cuts away from the guns detail. As you can see it's not as detailed as I had wished for it to be...
I'm holding it for another back view. I'll have to give credit to Konrad Zielezny for the design of the back end. That was the only part I had a problem with, so hope you don't mind...
Well, now that thats over, hope you liked it. Yes this is the part where you leave a comment on how great it is, so get moving!!! Or said in a nicer way, "Please leave a comment, please!!!"
Wow, accurate design and fully functional, just don't aim for the face! You'll put someones eye out! And you know what they say, its all fun and games until someone gets hurt... then its hilarious. Keep em coming, I wanna see a fully automatic, lego bullet firing AK-47 with a worn down WWII look, signed by Joseph Stalin next.

I was looking at this again and was thinking. The next time you make a rifle use your gear mechanism. The next time you make a pistol, use an internal mechanism, like the one I made. You should check it out.
In my opinion, firing replicas better. Welcome to the family. Doesn't it feel great when you shoot something that looks like a real gun! That's why I make shooting replicas. Here's a tip, if yoo make a bigger gun you can hide the rubber band mechanism better. You can't even tell my G36C shoots rubber bands!
