Boba Fett's third starship. Perhaps he'll take better care of this one.
About this creation
Built: September, 2005
By the time Boba Fett was rescued from the Sarlaac by Dengar (see "The Bounty Hunter Wars" trilogy by K.W. Jeter), the galazy had presumed him dead. With Slave I in impound, he took delivery of Slave II, a MandalMotors Pursuer-class starship. Though it served him well for a time, it too fell into disuse when Fett crashed it into a planetary shield, irreparably damaging the vessel.
A short time later, Fett retrieved Slave I from the Rebel Alliance, who had much more serious matters to attend to. Though it was the ideal bounty hunting ship, Fett chose to temporarily pilot a new ship so he could travel about in anonymity until he got his affairs in order and effectively "came back from the dead." Contacting MandalMotors once again, he picked out a Diplomat-class gunship, which was a prototype at the time.
The ship, while slightly smaller than Slave I, was given many of the ship's signature upgrades, including concealed rocket launchers, an ion cannon, and a tractor-beam projector. Like Slave I, the only visible weapons on board the ship are two heavy blaster cannons. Under Fett's careful scrutiny, the MandalMotors created Slave III, an extremely powerful gunship.
Due to its large engines, Slave III has tremendous sublight speed. Due to its bulk, however, it is not as agile in combat as Fett's other ships were. It relies instead on its large arsenal; 2 heavy blaster cannons, 1 ion cannon, and 1 warhead launcher.
Like many of my customs of late, I built this for a contest at FBTB.net. The task was to build Boba Fett's Slave III, a ship which had always been hinted at, but had never appeared in any Star Wars movies, or comic books. All comments and suggestions are welcome. Enjoy!
Update: the model took first prize in the competition.
Everone should rate this a five!! It's so cool, I'm working on a speeder bike for Boba maybe even a ship too. Anyways NICE WORK!!

Like I said, this is an outstanding piece of work. How about making Jaster's Leagesy, however it's spelled... I also like how every cubic inch has the same amount of detail. Even I cant build anything that good, and I can build some pretty nice things..
thats the best ever model, do you have any official pics of it? anyways i wonder if it can possibly stand up to my new custom jedi starfighter! MUAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA lol lets see when it gets posted
It's a Bird, it's a Plane it's a.....?ummm. But really it is something, mostly coming to mind it's original, slick yet rugged and lets face it it's just to hot to handle ;-). And for the contest on FBTB it's nothing less of a winner.
Completely not Boba Fett-esque, but that's really prefect for his situation. Definetly have to give kudos for a more original Boba Fett ship. And while it's compact, I like the interior detail. The only thing that seems weird is the rounded boxes sticking above the hidden weapons. Unless they're ears, then they make sense ;)
