Forever young, I wanna be, forever young, do you really wanna live forever, forever, forever
About this creation

Overview of the city from the mountains.

Overview of the city from out at sea.

An overview of the new uptown portion of the expansion.

the new area behind the airport.

The mayors new private yacht at the boat dock.

The new bigger Aquarium, I got sick of the boring design of the old cube aquarium.

Parkview suites, remember last edition I had the crane with this under construction, well its finished now.

Oceanside resort, including pools, hot tubs, a spa, and a sauna.

The beach shop, scuba gear, postcards, surf boards, beach toys, and a cafe, just your average store on the beach.

The green club, dedicated to saving the Earth, run by the mayor's sister.

I rebuilt the lego store, one day, as I was digging in one of my lego buckets, I found this piece with the lego logo on it, so I had to use it on the lego store.

Woundwort's Juice Bar, They're multiplying like rabbits! Thanks to Shannon Young for this one, I've also read the book, it was great.

Joan's bookstore, named after my mom, who loves to read.

The lemonade stand, Years ago, a small wooden crate was set up with a little kid selling lemonade, now the kid is grown up and operates a multi store franchise with his classic lemonade as well as many other types of soda.

The official headquarters of my awesome group, Club MOC.

The disco ice skating rink.

Sundance apartments.

The Mayors government offices building. Enough said.

The architectural firm of Mario Castellini, he's Italian.

Blue Sky Apartments.

Pastor Bob's wedding Chapel. located right down the street from the house of love.

Neptune rotating restaurant, "Oh waiter, another drink please, I want it to spin faster!"

The house of love, where every day is valentines day!

United Fruit Company's Banana Towers, the second largest business in Blocktropolis, right after Imagination Inc. When asked why have the fruit company headquartered in his city. The mayor had this to say, "I like fruit."

The midnight club, the largest club in the whole city, open 24 hours.

The Glacier hotel, all freezing snow and ice themed, just like the weather here in Minnesota!

The Basement liquor store.

Johnny Ray's action movie theater, explosions, car chases, and gun fights galore. Hoorah!

A colorful apartment block.

Zooloo's water park, home of the TEN-STORY WATER SLIDE!!!

Redd's bar. Who says you shouldn't eat red meat, here a Redd's, thats all they serve. Redd cannot be held responsible for any health problems occurring after any visit.

The temple of the brick, an expanding religion, started in Shannonia, gained a foothold in Squidtropolis, and now can be found here in Blocktropolis.

The snarling dragon Chinese takeout, the citizens of Blocktropolis love Chinese food, so there are two of these takeout restaurants in the city, one downtown, and one here in uptown.

Aquarius boat club, named because the mayor loves to sail and his sign is Aquarius.

Goldie's gold store, everything he sells is made of pure gold, his top sellers, gold rings, to engaged couples, and gold toilet seats, to the mayor.

Captain Crabs Fancy Seafood restaurant. cuisine from fish caught locally in the river.

Riverview rotating restaurant, with great views of you guessed it, the river!

River shore resort, just try to forget all your worries and let the calming sounds of the river sooth you.

Riverside inn and suites, I can't tell you how hard it is to come up with so many different names for buildings all with the word river in them.

The Blocktropolis Art museum, with great pieces from countless artists from all eras, and a wonderful sculpture garden out back right on the river.

The Riverwater hotel another premiere hotel along the riverside.

The mayors riverside mansion, as a new law in the city, no house may be larger than the mayors.

located right on the river, even these small homes have enormous property values, and understandably large front yards.

The Market, neighborhood grocery store. The blay thing in the background is my attempt to make a microcity scale water tower, there are two of these in the city.

A boring, nondescript, blay apartment block.

Ritzy's, the fanciest and most expensive restaurant in town, located on quiet suburban streets away from the huste and bustle of the main part of the city.

Blocktropolis historical society, dedicated to preserving the history of this fine city, from the log cabin the mayor was born in on this land, to the bustling metropolis of today.

Blocktropolis coin minting facility, ever since the dollar has been plummeting, we've been making our our currency.

The Vladrick Hotel, one of the fanciest in the city, yet the owner stubbornly named it after himself.

The Fun House, not much more than the name implies.

Scoops, the gourmet ice cream shop.

The lime club and casino, where every wall is made of lime-green glass, and I mean EVERY wall, don't use the restrooms.

The Firehouse hotel, every wall has flame wallpaper, and the only way up or down in the hotel is the firepole extending the entire height of the building. That being said, it makes more sense that first-floor rooms are the most expensive.

The mini mall, an uptown extension of the larger downtown mall, filled with more overpriced garbage from Asia.

Blay rocket hotel, every bed is shaped like a rocket ship, and all the wallpaper is a starry sky pattern.

Blocktropolis Symphony hall, where you can go to have your minds drilled out of your skulls by classical music.

Dan's Deli, home to the best New York style corned beef sandwiches in the city.

Yellow Rocket Casino, home to the trickiest slot machines this side of the Sierra Nevada.

7 Seas Adventure Park, pirate themed, with water slides, rowboats on an artifical river, an enormous plastic pirate ship, and a huge talking parrot. I can see you drooling.

The glass towers, no throwing stones.

пьяный's the Russian bar, пьяный is actually a Russian word, you'll have to translate to figure out the joke.

landing at Bloocktropolis international airport.

I've reworked the airport to give it a large blue-glass dome over the concourse and a taller control tower.

Blocktropolis Convention Center, located on the dead-end and heavily trafficked Airport Road, and the nearest parking is the airport parking garage, where they charge twice the rate for non-flyers. Surprisingly, a couple thousand people show up every year for the two-week lego convention.

And as a special treat, A sneak preview of the next expansion, in the form of one building I've already made.

Quoting Shannon Young I'm a crotchety old man with failing eyesight and those blurry shots are absolutely killing me. Sadly, it does detract from my enjoyment of your otherwise fine city. Does your camera not have a macro function?
I'm not sure if it does or not, It's a new camera so I'm still trying to figure out all the little functions.

I love your mini-city! Such attention to detail. I like how you have a purpose for each building. Your use of studs and flat plates made the ocean look really good. Have you considered flat plates for the roads? Right now, the studs just don't give the right texture look. Great job - keep expanding.

Quoting Nick Ennobtown Let me be the first to point out your atrocious spelling error. I believe you meant to use the word "Once" but made a typo resulting in the word "Ounce" which is normally assigned to the weight of small items such as foodstuffs, cooking ingredients, and other nefarious substances.
thanks for pointing that out, I'll fix it right away =)

Let me be the first to point out your atrocious spelling error. I believe you meant to use the word "Once" but made a typo resulting in the word "Ounce" which is normally assigned to the weight of small items such as foodstuffs, cooking ingredients, and other nefarious substances. However the city itself is beautiful and totally makes up for your lack of grammatical prowess. I love the railroads, I new I was eventually going to find someone who used the grill pieces to make railroads for a micro-city. The large building in the middle, next to the clock tower, is my favorite, very imposing. I also like the three updates you provide, really gives the impression of a city expanding and growing. Keep it up!

Quoting Maxime MaxSamAlex Maybe you can put a scene like riots, a fire, or a sinking ship in your city.
hmmm... great idea, I'll try a sinking ship, I'd need more coastline though, you just set me up for another expansion! I think I'll go south next time...

Great. The captions are great, as always. The Russian joke is a great idea, by the way! Maybe you can put a scene like riots, a fire, or a sinking ship in your city.

lol the russian bar's name means drunk! I think that thing in the sneak preview might be another sports arena judging by the dome over the top.

Awesome, I can see another usual large influence from Shannonia. I really love the gold store idea, I think I'm just going to have to 'borrow' that idea. I'm just about to update Kairosberg myself, so can you do me a favor and come tell everyone to come check it out when it's done?

Wow, you must have been working on this for a while. Fun descriptions of the buildings though the pics could be better. You'd think the Midnight Club would only be open in the middle of the night. Well, I'm off to Johnny Ray's to see something blow up. Blow up real good. see ya. garth
