About this creation
Hi everybody,
This is my first model on MOC-pages, I hope you like it.
I have always liked the Lego Black Supercar 8880 a lot for its 4-wheel steering, 4-wheel drive and nice black/yellow shape. So I decided to make my own black supercar, using new-style Technic Lego to create an even nicer shape. Because of the black/yellow colours, i call this one "The Wasp". It turned out to be the best Technic-car I built until now.
Just as the original 8880, my car has 4-wheel steering. The steering-wheel inside rotates accordingly and the steering can be controlled from the top of the car, wich makes driving the car much more fun. It has 4-wheel drive with full differential driving a V8-engine. It features a gearbox with 5 gears and 1 reverse.
But one of the coolest features is the motorized opening of the Lambo-style doors wich can be controlled with a remote-controll. The front and the back can be opened as well.
In contrast to most other big technic models, i tried to close up my car as much as possible without ruining the lines.
Here is a view of the bottom. You can see a part of the gearbox and the door-mechanism
The Engine has some detailing as well.
View of the front with open hood. Here you can see how the suspension works.
Feel free to comment.

The shape, styling, colour-scheme and overall appearance is absolutely first-rate!
This beast has some real technical prowess, too! I must say that the remote-controlled doors are my favourite feature. What a machine. What a grand entry to MOCpages! |

I swear I thought this was a Bugatti. I want to buy this model. How much you want for it? Ubersupercar. What is the engine V16, Or V12? Amazing car.
This model has been disassembles long ago, so I can't sell it. However on my website jurgenstechniccorner.com you can find building instructions to many other MOC's I created. |

sweet ride! looks a bit reminiscent of KITT 2000 for some reason, not sure whether this was intentional or not. May be just that any black super car reminds me of Knight Rider... |

Wonder how much Lego would retail it at?

This is excellent !
I love ths style, reminds me of a Koeniggsegg !
Out of curiosity, you might want to check my MOC's ; I also modified the 8880 car a while back, you can see it amongts my models on my page if you're interested. I didn't focus too much on the outside - your is waaaay better; but I did pack it with functionalities; it had pneumatic controlled lambo doors, boot, and bonnet; a real working radio and speaker and even 'lowrider' hydraulics :)
Seriously, great job on this, it's amazing !!!

Wait... it has power functions?!?! Dude! Wth? Awesome.....
Thanx. I was thinking of motorizing the front and back opening as well, but that will require deconstructing half the car, so I'm not sure yet if I'll do that. |
