A Study in Studless Brick Walls
A Studless Brick Wall Study
About this creation
This is a brick wall study I am working on using a new technique I developed to create studless brick walls. Notice that the pattern can span corners...

Trying to figure out how I did it is half the fun! Clue: the brick area (including corners) only involves four different pieces, two of which are visible.

Allright, go here to see more!

It's amazing that you posted this about 6 years ago and almost everyone now is using your technique. :)

That cannot be lego... It's too realistic I am wondering how you made the 'brick' walls?

This is really good. I wish there were a photo with some of the red tiles removed, so we could see exactly what pattern of pieces you used to get that spacing (I can work it out from guessing and trial and error, but its always easier to be lazy and have someone just show you! ; ) Great work

Awesome, Jonathan! I've had this very idea running around my mind for a long time, but I've never had enough single-coloured 1x2 tiles to try it with. What colour are these? They look like the earth-orange colour or something. Whatever they are, it looks dead-on. Un-LEGO-like even. Which in this case is a good thing. Links to any other pictures?! I'd love to see the details of your design for this. I imagine it would be pretty pricey and parts-intensive to build a sizable building in this style...
