Quark-Fig Scale SD Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann
I'm not even going to bother to explain Gainax's Anime masterpiece. I'll only say that he's a mech bigger than galaxies!!!
About this creation
Yes I did tape fuzzy stuff on the back to make the spiral flame.

SD TTGL and The Galaxies. They are to scale, or maybe I made the Galaxies too big.

Small Galaxy

Big Galaxy

Woot! The 2 LEGO TTGLs and Revoltech TTGL!! The Epic 3!

Oops.

This is how small my SD TTGL really is!

Revoltech TTGL on his shelf, with his Galaxy!

OMG Typo on box. Each time they wrote Tengen Toppa, they forgot the space between Tengen and Toppa!

My Nintendo DS Pictochat TTGL!

Phong wall commentary: You may have noticed that I'm so Bricken excited to finally have my Revoltech TTGL! Please watch the anime, you'll figure out why. Plus I can take apart the unfinished Large TTGL I was working on now! Sorry Guys, The LEGO one is too fragile. I need better joints. I'll keep my SD one for a while though.

Quoting SeveredSoul . you should try making something from code geass i think u could pull it off
Code Geass is cr-p compared to TTGL! Sorry man, but at this point, it's like comparing mud to chocolate. TTGL is inevitably better. It's by definition an opinion, but it is fact based on common sense.

Quoting Dali Zheng I don't know what 3-wide piece Toby is talking about, but I can give you a tip if you're into modifying Legos. There are long, flexible Technic rods with a hole through the center. They're easy to cut into any length, and I have a bunch of them. By the way, I updated the Arbalest and added new photos. I spent a while photo-editing the new main picture. Check it out: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/106372
This is EXACTLY what I'm talking about, I just can't make myself clear enough! The piece I'm referring to simply came in a 3-stud width straight from the set. I'm actually obsessed enough with maintaining 'purity' in my LEGO stuff that the only LEGO parts I cut are pnuematic tubing, and even that is a rare occurrence.

Quoting Phong Chang They had 3-stud long tubes?! Where was I when this happened?! (I've only been building for about a year, so were they created before I started?)
Yep. during the early years of technic, the 'Flex' system was released. It consisted of small clamps that attached to thin cable at odd lengths; the 3mm diameter tubing wrapped around this was in 3, 5, and 7 stud lengths. Only a few sets had any parts for it, but I happened to buy one without knowing the treasure I held in my hands. I've looked on Bricklink, and they are for sale there, but aside from that or paying huge sums for 'antique' sets on Ebay, I don't know of any other way to get them.

Quoting George Kemper Yeah, Phong I don't want to know where or what that "hair" on his back is. Anyways this mech is amazing. The detail and well everthing is great as always.-George
That my friend is the spiral energy flame, or in other words: The energy of Fighting Spirit!!! You need to watch the anime. It's the most epic out there. You may say that's just an opinion, but TTGL is one of those things that hit that level where you need to set opinion aside. Every anime fan who's seen this show that I've heard of have it as favorite. It's like comparing it to Naruto. TTGL is CLEARY, without dispute, in every way, shape, and form A LOT better than Naruto! It's literally just no contest! Anyone who's seen both sides will agree. It's like comparing mud to the world's best chocolate. You know for a fact that chocolate is better tasting than mud, but your belief will still be defined as an opinion. I mean, you gotta use common sense; even if someone hates chocolate, what would make them find mud more appealing? TTGL being called "the best" is one of those things that is by definition an opinion, but by actual judgment, it becomes a fact of being the best. I've seen tons of anime,(stereotype!) but take my word for it, TTGL is the best!! I literally get goosebumps from it's epicness!

Quoting Toby Heinemann Well done! Though this is my first time commenting on your work, I've seen much of the older stuff. Many of your Izzo-styled mechs are excellent, and some of your pieces inspired my recent project. A quick suggestion (based on Dali Zheng's comment): If the hip piece is a problem, you could always use one of the old 3mm diameter 3-stud-long tubes that came out with the 'flex' system a few years back. I'm fairly sure they were made in black. Other than that one detail (which may be entirely intentional, I don't know), it's a very well-executed downscaling of your older versions. Also, though others have said it before, nice drawing!

Quoting NEOspawn Tek I like it! I'm not sure about fuzzy stuff though, try doing it with blue flame lego pieces.how did you do that on pictochat?
Why would he use the blue ones, when he could use the green ones? But anyway, I don't think he should change the "fuzzy stuff", because then he would have to make places where they could attach, while the fuzzy stuff can be taped. So, bleh... I really like the way you used minifig arms on his head, and to attach the red teeth/spike pieces on his arms. And absolutely everything about his torso and legs! The studless 1x2 tiles sticking out of his knees are really nice touch. Love the little galaxies! Great job! P.S. That Pictochat drawing is amazing! ~ James :D
