Clone Bomber
Though the Republic's heavy Venator cruisers excelled at capital ship combat, they were often outnumbered and ganged up on by the Seperatists' frigates. After the new Y-Wing made its debut in the skies above Ryloth, it helped fight these ships. But it took a full sqaudron of Y-wings making several passes on a single ship to destroy it. So a heavier ship was designed, carrying heavier weapons to destroy enemy naval forces quicker. The highly successful Republic Interceptor was used as a basis for a new, more powerful design. The Republic Bomber was the explosive result, with just one ship carrying enough missiles and blasters to severely cripple enemy capital ships, and when deployed in full squadrons of skilled pilots, they can destroy entire fleets in an extraordinarily short amount of time.
About this creation

The full Republic Bomber is the largest one-man craft the GAR has in service.

The designers of the Bomber decided to add armor to the cockpit like Kon Ooodala did to his Interceptor. The Clone pilot is extremely well protected. Directly behind and above the cockpit rest the shield generators, each one projecting a half-bubble shield on its respective side and the two meet in the middle at a powerful seam. Between the generators rests the powerful sensor dish. The main bomb bay is behind the cockpit and generators, and can hold up to 20 proton bombs. (Unfortunately, I did not find the pieces I was looking for to make the bomb bay actually able to open and drop bombs, so it's just bricks built to add bulk to the ship)

The designers also copied Kon's custom engines and made them even larger, and added two more of them. Though the power is doubled, due to all of its heavy weapons the Republic Bomber can barely crawl past the speed of a Droid Bomber. The Republic Bomber also has no hyperdrive like its counterpart Interceptor. They rely on carrier craft to make interstellar travel.

The Bomber's wings hold all of the primary and secondary weapons. On the wingtips rest heavy blasters, the primary weapons which can be fire-linked. On the very tips of the wings are anti-fighter/bomber missiles which can track a target at the bomber's 6-oclock and maneuver to keep up with them. 5 heavy cruise missiles and 8 medium missiles rest under the wings and are the fighter's primary long-range anti-ship weapons. Closest to the engines are two ion cannons. The most powerful weapons are the BlockBuster heavy missiles, identical to those found on Arc Captain Fordo's Scrapmaker Gunship. A direct hit with these can severely damage an unshielded frigate, and can even crack the ship in half if it has already suffered severe damage. The bomber also retains the two nose blasters like those on Kon's fighter.

That is seriously a lot of weapons, must be pretty expensive for the Republic. The new (it' s actually the old if you think 'bout it) Y-Wing made its debut in the Malevolence series. Great work!
