This is my new baby. I see it as a modern version of a muscle car. Yes, some would say that I am obsessed with the Dodge Charger model but it's mostly because it is the most beautiful muscle car to me. Anyways, his futuristic version I call Recharger. It is RC driven. This time it has only one electric motor that drives it and I have to say considering this model's weight it drives it pretty well. It's got 2 other smaller electric motors. One that steers and one that opens and closes the headlights. Headlights were the most complicated thing to do. It took me a while to figure out how to make it all work since the front is not straight, It goes to V shape and that was a real challenge but I have to say that I made it fully workable.
About this creation
Here is how the headlights work
Under the hood there is a 6 cylinder engine moved slightly to the left. The reason for that lies in the fact that I had to put somewhere the mechanism that opens headlights which is obviously placed on the right side. Far to the left there are cogwheels that move the steering wheel in the cockpit. As for the battery tank it is in the trunk. You have to open both trunk doors if you want the battery tank out. It just turned out that way since I didn't want full functionality to get in the way of design ;)
Passenger doors open like on the vintage models of some cars
Here is the front without the mask. There is the construction of the headlights mechanism and the bottom view that shows neatly positioned electric motors
Upper left pic shows the cogs that move the headlights. Actually this spiral cog is the central element of it all
Upper right pic shows the cogs that go from the electric motors to their extended mechanisms that drive the steering and the headlights
Pic below shows the mechanism that moves the steering wheel in the cockpit
Nice style, though it reminds me more of late 1940's-1950 cars than a muscle car but at-least the roof looks like a retro-spectrum of a 3rd generation Dodge Charger(1971-1974) but I like this late '40's to barely 1950's look. This is very classy and classical with stylish looks witch is one of the reasons that it attracts me! This is a nice design still and I hope you make more originals like these! Beautiful MOC!
I also decided to name my version of the Charger "ReCharger"! The "Re" would represent retro, re-generation, and the name is also inspired by the term "recharge" (hence the name:which is the same name you gave for your car). I haven't worked much on the design attempted in a while, let alone did much of it (which means that I didn't really work on making my Moc(s) attempts which is/are LDD). Although, I'm still planning on resuming this project and maybe make finish MOC version of my ideas. By the way, sorry for using the same name as you but I must of used it in coincidence at the time(or probably forgot that you used this name)!
Cool! I'm planning on continuing a design idea for my own modern version of the Dodge Charger myself and my intentions is to make it retro (1968-1970) but i might consider developing or continuing a sedan design (like today's Chargers) even though I obviously want to make it a coupe as well to be traditional. I even did a bit of sketches of this idea from 2010(didn't upload them online because they're not finished sketches) and a few in 2011 but I uploaded my 2011 ideas(sketches)on Deviantart by the account LukanaterFurvert.
OH Wow, is it really RC? Thats pretty cool. Wish I could make working RC's heh. Oh and that journal entry for my Nebulon-B was from 3-4 years ago. The finished version is way better. check it out.

Sorry that I´m responding so late (was busy with E.O.S. stuff and so or so I hadn´t money, so I wasn´t in need of the infos so soon). A part of the sets comeing out in the moment are RC LEGO racers (like the 8183 Track Turbo RC). You used about the same RC sheme to make this like they were useing. So my question is if everything works out fine and if you think it would be a good idea to buy one of the RC sets.
Hey, dude thanx for the comment.
Say what do you mean about the RC sets? You would like to sell one to me? Is that what you are saying? If so tell me what you are selling and for how much. e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org
