This is pretty much what Marines look like during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.
About this creation
This is after the chemical weapons threat was over and the Marines were able to take off their woodland camo biological warfare suits(if it was during that time his main body, legs, and arms would be woodland camo.) My cousin served in OIF, he was in the U.S. Army, but there wasn't much of a difference between the uniforms of the Army and Marines after the Chemical weapons threat was over.
Front view showing his IBA(Intercepter Body Amor) and his M4(A1?) with an M203 grenade launcher(I would have made it an M16A2, but brick arms doesn't make any M16-type weapons only M4's).
He also has a M1911 side arm(most troops during 2003 didn't carry a sidearm, but I guess that just makes this guy an officer). The goggles are "Sand & Wind" googles.

Not really sure why I added/took these last two pics, I guess just to show my Marine owning some random terrorist.
This pictures were took when I first got my new camera(the ranger's pic were after this guy) so I didn't really know what I was doing. Thats why they are kinda bad *cough* horrible *cough*
Anyway, hope you liked him and feel free to leave comments, or suggestions on what US military figure to make next.

Well, I took the fig apart and sprayed the pieces with a white primer. Then I painted the vest camoflauge with dark green, black, and brown acrylic paint. Then I painted the minifig and helmet with desert tan, a darker tan, and brown acrylic paint. |

BTW there's not much difference between the M4 and M4A1, only a fire selector. M4 has semi and burst fire and the A1 has semi and full auto fire. And I think you should make a Navy SEAL with an MP5 and a P9S. |
