Halfway through the construction of my 1/10 scale Bugtti Type 46 ; finished product coming (hopfeully) soon !
About this creation
Remember my Lotus 7 hot rod model; that, after a while, got modified into a Classic Sports car ? (no ? well they're both in my MOC's if you want to look )
One day, I just happened to notice, whilst looking at a picture of the bugatti type 46 , how similar my car was to it, in basic shape (of course, many smaller differences)
So... I took on the clallenge to break down my car and re-build it, 'recycling' what I could, as the Bugatti ; at a chosen scale of 1/10 (which is actually ending up being much bigger than the car I broke down)
So far; though the photos don't look that excellent; I think it's coming along nicely - at the moment I'm short of some parts (hence the holes in the bodywork where some slopes will be making a nice curve to complete the two-tone paintwork of the car) ; but the general shape, I'm hapy to say, is very accurate compared to the real thing - the line of the paintwork; and the roofline especially looks the same.
Though this could probably be finished within a day or two; I'm posting this half-complete WIP page to keep things ticking over; as since I'm in need of some bits, it'll probably be a little while before the car actually gets finished...
I've also included a couple of photos of the real car, so you can see what it will hopefully be looking like when done.
When complete; it should be measuring approximately 48cm long by 19m wide by 16cm tall.
Hope you like it !
(P.S. The 1/3 lamborghini hasn't been stopped or anything; we're just having a little trouble with the latest order (which was a very big one...) that basically hasn't turned up... hopefully we'll be able to get that sorted out and carry on buidling soon !)
P.S. If you are looking to buy lego for your creations, I would like to recommend the following Bricklink lego shop ; "About Town, Castle & Train" ( http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=stacey_love )
I personally know the shopholders, and they are very nice, devoted people. They are currently sponsoring 100% of my 1/3 Lamborghini project, providing all of the parts; and have made various other donations to other models I have made.
The store has a wide selection of parts (over 600,000!), at good prices, and offer an exceptional, fast service (no tax or dodgy exchange rates, next day postage, etc). you won't be disappointed !
Eh beh, quel energie !
