Wow, Uncle Stormzarel pooped out a new Lego, kids! *gaspeth!* Really, Uncle Stormzarel? Yes! Now pay attention, what I'm about to say is important. This, my little children, is the Aegis Light Fighter, the backbone of the ZDF (Zaragan Defense Forces) aerospace force. Really? Yes, now shut up while I tell you more!
Woah! Bombs, kids! Well, not really, two of them are missiles, but still, you do not want to get these dropped on you. Two 'Headhunter' heat-seaking missiles may seem to be enough for this small, agile fighter, but I didn't stop there. Hell, I added a 'Hellspawn' nuclear warhead! BAM! "Overkill much?" you might say? Nonsense! Tell that to the soldiers on the ground. One Hellspawn could wipe out an entire Xarkonian capital ship, saving the skins of thousands of soldiers from orbital bombardment.
Folding wings are crucial for any ship-based fighter, and the Aegis is no exception. It allows it to get crammed into the storage racks to be dropped into combat. Yep, you heard me right. These things are DROPPED into combat. A carrier hovers above the battle, then opens its underside doors and drops about 100 of these into a raging battle below. It's that awesome.
Yep, here's the rear end of her, where you can see the engine, as well as the boosters for the weapons. BAM! Imagine getting hit with over 5000 newtons of thrust, pushing you forward it thousands of kilometers per hour. Aside from hyperdrive equipped ships, the Aegis is definitely the fastest in the ZDF fleet.
"What!?" you might say, "YOU COPIED SCORP'S VALKYRIE DESIGN!?! BURN!!!!" Actually, I did get some inspiration for the rear-end and wings from his Valkyrie, but it was a subconcious thing I did without thinking. *shrugs* Wierd.
I know you can't see him well, but there's a pilot sittin' in that cramped little space called a cockpit. Since this photo was taken (which was about 3 months ago, heh...), I've changed the design of the pilot's uniform. I'll post the new guy later with the rest of my new ZDF infantry. Now, post a review!
What Artyr said. I like the shape of the ship; simple and sleek. Nice bombs too! But the gap between the wings and the main body is kinda ugly. I think it needs just a bit more detailing in places too. Still, it's quite nice for a light fighter. With big bombs. ;-)
Ha HA! Well, now, To the Reveiw:
First off, as I told you on AIM, it has NOTHING in common witha a chimera of legend. A chimera was 2 animals in one body. Not all of them flew, Either. So yeah...
2: So many nukes. Excelent.
3. Bit simplistic, but overall good design. So yeah....
