About this creation
'Hello, I'm Tom, he's Larry. We're going to introduce you to the wonderful mix known as Thermogel.'

'Okay you, who's in charge here?'
"I am."
'Whoops... sorry sir.'

'Firstly, what exactly is Thermogel?'
"Well, Thermogel, or DFDG, as we call it, is a gelatinous mixture of chemicals composed of Trinitoxaploskeeine, Hydrocephalis-"
'In words we can understand, please. And what's DFDG stand for?'
"Damned F_____ Dangerous Goop."

"Jack, clear out some space and get me batch number 34-76-D and that 'item' I told you about yesterday."
'Yessir, right away.'

'Can you continue, please...'
"Thermogel is an incendiary compound that sticks to targets, is dangerously easy to ignite and surprisingly difficult to put out."

"Now shut up, you, and let me concentrate.."
*whirrKACHUNKslUrrRpp*
"Ah, that's got it!"

"Don't you dare touch ANY of those buttons!"

'HEY! That belongs to your boss!'
"Shuddup. I told her to get them when I was done with them."
*whhIIiinNeeKACHUNKthunktinkly-crunch*
"Ah. Perfect. Textbook grade, even."
'What're you doing?'
"Classified."
'We've got security clearances, how do you think we got in here?'
"Well, DFDG decays over time; it shortens its maximum burn time and becomes even easier to set off, igniting at a single jolt. Myself and my staff are working on a new formula that'll be just as effective, combat-wise, and not decaying, or at least having a longer shelf-life."

"Ah, good. Jack's back."

'Here's your fire extinguisher, sir.'
"Good, good. Put that handcart away and tell Harry to have the emergency crews standing by, just in case."
'Fire extinguisher?! EMERGENCY CREWS?!'

"Given what happened last time a film crew was here, I think it's a sensible precaution."
'Ah, well. Hey, are any of these chemicals poisonous?'
"Yes. ALL of them. Except for that stuff under the stasis tank, that's Maurice's lunch.
Half of them are known carcinogens. That sandwich under there's got a rather nasty bacterial culture, too."

'NASTY!'
"Yeah. They've just discovered fire and the wheel."
'What's in that tank, anyhow? haAuuGGHHdeepbreath'
"Dunno; the supersoldier boys had to go out on a field test and said we could borrow their lab while they were out, as long as we didn't touch that stasis tank."

"What the hell are you doing?"
'Tyig my hanbky roug myg fade!'
"And what, pray tell, do you expect to accomplish by this endeavor?"
'Id'll keeb da cemigals oub ob my node..'
"No it won't. The other half are delayed respiratory irritants. In about five hours your throat will swell up and you'll stop having to worry about tumours."
'AAARRGHB!!'

"Wait a minute... there wasn't anything on the roster about a film crew visiting...
Where's your security passes?"
'Umb.. we losd theb.'
"You mean you never had them- SECURITY! GET THEM! JACK, MAURICE! HELP ME!"

'I'm innocent! I've been framed! I tell you, I didn't do it! I'm supposed to be here!
I WANT MY LAWYER!!'

Later that day...
'I don't suppose we can just talk about this like civilized men, can we?'

Nice story and nice work on the variable floor, itīs such a cool idea. Do we get to see the Thermogel in action?
Not really; this was back before I could do decent fire effects. It did get a cameo here, though, near the end: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/174534 |

So we don't get to see thermogel in action against some Elite Clone Commander Commando's?
Nope, sorry. I haven't got any black skeletons to have writhing in the flames.

This is a well done and nicely presented MOC, very professional looking. Good job!
Thanks. With things like this, it's usually the dialogue that makes or breaks it; nice to see that the majority thinks it came out right. |

u should post some izzo style mech
They don't actually fit with my general style, sorry. I feel that mecha hands belong on hardsuits; bigger mecha can have the guns directly intergrated with the arms and only need one hand, at most. Besides, a mech with a huge cannon for one arm and a normal humanoid arm on the other has a unique profile, not seen often on mocpages. |

Nice work! I seem to be able to find some nice humor in this MOC...Anyhow, may I make a connection? Okay, even if you say "no", so Thermogel is basically a form of napalm? Or vice-versa?
That's one way of putting it, yes. DFDG, however, burns longer, hotter and is a bit more difficult to put out. A gaseous form exists, if you hate smokers. Just squirt a bit in the No Smoking zone and anyone who lights up will get a surprise. |
