My entry for the 'sigfiggy kart' group; Johnny No-Mates and Bobo the Parrot in his Pirate-Mobile :)
About this creation
Hi,
I know, this is completely silly.
It's just made for fun :)
I was invited to join the 'sigfiggy kart' group where the idea was to make mario-kart style vehicles for Lego-Dudes (I insist, I call them 'Lego-Dudes', not 'sig-figgies'...I mean, where does the 'sig' bit come from anyway?)
So as I was invited into the group, I thought it'd be nice to make a contribution; so here it is : Johnny No-Mates' (remember him ? He's in my MOC's...) pirate-mobile.
I don't suppose there's much to say, as in mario kart (as tha's the inspiration), I made my racer have a bit over-the-top design influenced completely by the theme; in this case, a small pirate s^hip on wheels; the engine bnoosters are barrels, a cannon opn the front, complete with monkey on the mast and Johnny's annoying parrot (OK I'll call him Bobo... spur of the moment idea lol) on his shoulder.
:)
Dan

P.S. If you are looking to buy lego for your creations, I would like to recommend the following Bricklink lego shop ; "About Town, Castle & Train" ( http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=stacey_love )
I personally know the shopholders, and they are very nice, devoted people. They are currently sponsoring 100% of my 1/3 Lamborghini project, providing all of the parts; and have made various other donations to other models I have made.
The store has a wide selection of parts (over 600,000!), at good prices, and offer an exceptional, fast service (no tax or dodgy exchange rates, next day postage, etc). you won't be disappointed !

Not bad! And to clarify for all commenting persons: there is no contest, for now. But one is in the works as we speak. Anyways, what a good way to contribute! Over the top it may be, but if I can make a steampunk go kart, you can make a pirate one. Great job! |

Nice work! It reminds me of the pirate character from the first Lego Racers videogame. I like how you used the barrels and the parrot and monkey are nice additions. Good luck in the contest. To answer your confusion about SigFigs, sig stands for signature. So a sigfig (sig figgy, sigName figgy, whatever) is your personal character, usualy a lego representation of yourself. It does not replace the term minifig, or as you like to say, Lego Dude (far superior to minifig IMO!). Hope that helps!
Peace - Packie
haha thanks for the explanation - makes a bit more sens to me now !
