There was some inquiry/interest (laughing *by he who shan't be named) with regards to the struts of my Darwin. An obstacle that had to be overcome for me, was with regards to how exactly i was going to create a moc that actually reflected a "drop". Seeing as how i'm still relatively knew to building and still am experimenting with the LEGO and their capabilities, i came up with these struts in order to provide stability without burning bricks. So... for those that were interested.. .these are them struts...
Ya know, sometimes newer builders bring a fresh perspective. I think this is a great idea. I might suggest a horizontal support structure to add stability, but all in all, a very clever way to create support without a lot of brick investment. Very cool.
Interesting solution. Very likely something that I, also a relatively new builder, would do. As long as you create the look at your focal point (meaning the part you want people to see) any old means of support will do. I'm actually reminded of Blazing Saddles here, for some odd reason. Thanks for sharing this.
"He" laughed at THAT! (but I still know he wasn't laughing "at" you... but that's another discussion) Personally, I think it's pretty ingenius and have been guilty of similar solutions myself. Way to strut your stuff baby! ~ Chris.
