Terraforge: Skirmish at the Border
My first MOC in the new theme, Terraforge.
About this creation
Here's a vignette based on the new theme, Terraforge. It depicts a small infantry battle on the border, between the desert people and the foresters. I was able to achieve a transition from a traditional base to a SNOT base, in order to capture the smoothness of the desert plains. Each side has a heavy reinforcement: the desert people have an acidic mortar launcher, while the foresters have a rocket launcher. Please review, and thanks for looking!

The other side of the battle.

View from the desert people's territory.

View form the forester's territory.

The desert militants.

The foresters (spare the solider dodging the rocket).

A shot of the mayhem.

Top view.

Desert machine-gunner.

An essential element of Terraforge: the expansion of one's own land beneath their feet.

Excellent work. I noticed this and was interested, and you've got a pretty cool thing going here with Terraforge. One thing though- when I first saw this I thought it was foresters vs ice. I thought that those were the only two elements until I read the comments. Desert looks to similar to ice; You shoul make sand dunes or something.

Hm, I never did get to comment on this. Well, I am going to torture you for the rest of your life about those hats, you know which. But I would have liked to see a bit more detail in this. Plant life. Larger brick-built trees. Fire possibly? Overall, okay for what I invision as being Terraforge, but not the best in the world. 4/5. ~S.K.

Quoting Indiana Pearce AKA Mr. Spock AKA Killing You Wait, you said "View from the desert forester's side." You need to fix that.
Whoops! :)

Quoting Indiana Pearce AKA Mr. Spock AKA Killing You OK sorry for the confusion.
Yeah, sorry that this is all so unexplained right now. We're trying to get this group done, but we also want it to be really nice, so it's taking a long time. I'll be sure to invite you, though ;)

Quoting Indiana Pearce AKA Mr. Spock AKA Killing You The reason I wanted water is because I can't build the forest and I have barely any snow pieces. I've got a ton of desert pieces and a ton of scuba divers. Desert vs. water is pretty much all that I can do, with maybe a captured ice soldier.
You know, if you just stack a bunch of white bricks and turn them on their side, BOOM, you've got an ice landscape. Plus, if there were water people at all, they'd be kind of, ya know, swampy and wet looking. In Terraforge, things are supposed to be blended with nature, not man-made looking. You should look at some of Sterling Knight's Terraforge stuff. It's a really good example of what I'm trying to say here.

Quoting Indiana Pearce AKA Mr. Spock AKA Killing You OK Dax! I'll see you on Hoth, right? LOL. Can I add a fourth element, water? They live underwater, use amphibious vehicles, spearguns, and they wear scuba suits.
Um... I think we're trying to keep it down to three. Wait until the guidelines are posted to build stuff, because it's a really complex theme with a lot of meticulous details. I appreciate your interest, though.

Quoting Indiana Pearce AKA Mr. Spock AKA Killing You I recognized the name instantly. Say, howcome no one made a terraforge group? I'd like to try my hand at it.
Sorry, but Sterling and I, the founders of Terraforge, will be making the group, no one else (yes, someone else already tried...). But you are more than welcome to join once it's up.

Quoting Indiana Spock ICE VS. DESERT!!! Make that next! Also, why do you keep getting shot? You usually show up as "Bantha Fodder" on the scoreboard, and I show up as "Public Enemy." What's going on?
Oh, so you figured it out ;) Most people don't pay attention to AIs...

Why do the Foresters, ice people, and desert people and all of them hate each other? All the elements should live together in harmony... I would like a story on what happened between all of them.

Quoting Tterbo Magnesium Nice job on the acid mortar, it turned out perfect. All round good job. oh, and SNOT stands for 'studs not on top', such as studs sticking out the sides. Studless is the word your looking for.
Actually, that is SNOT. Study some of the up-close pictures and you'll see - that's not tile... Trust me, it's a pet peeve of mine when people do that, mix up SNOT and studless.

Odd. So like is Terraforge a movie or something or did you just make it up? Still, totally cool lasers and rockets and stuff. -matthew-
