Hi Andrew! It depends on what your needs are. That's the way you pick the right truck. There is absolutely nothing wrong with making an aerial E-One or other, without a pump. Its also ok to have a pump. If not having a pump works for you, then go for it...by all means! Personally, I like both. Lately, I'm leaning more to aerials without pumps on it. I like tower ladders, too. With either, you can work on ventilation from a safer location (a little more safe in a bucket than on a stick). Should the roof cave in and you're in a bucket or working from the aerial, you'll be safe. Whereas, if you are using a roof ladder, you can fall into the building. I look forward to seeing the E-One! Awesome. I have a question, I'm trying to build a ladder truck, and from researching different rigs I think an E-one ladder without a pump is most feasible for me, what do you think? Any suggestions for a good first aerial?
