A rubber band gun build as a LEGO replica of the IMI Desert Eagle
About this creation

With this rubber band pistol you can shoot rubber bands. The gun is pretty stable so you can even shoot very strong rubber bands. And while you are doing this you'll hold a gun in your hand which has a size and shape very equal to the real IMI Desert Eagle.

Because of the natural length of the Desert Eagle the Rubber Eagle has a good range and is fairly accurate. The trigger mechanism of the pistol is very simple. The trigger releases a toothed wheel and this wheel releases the rubberband. That's all. Unfortunately I was not able to build a mechanism that was able to fire more than one shot in a row like the commercial rubberband guns. If you know of a simple mechanism that can be build with standard LEGO bricks and old LEGO Technic pieces feel free to help me out.

Hey, I came up with a design based off Sebastian's Uzi that can shoot rubber bands in semi-automatic mode. The mechanism I came up with is a lot simpler than his. The major downside to my mechanism is that you can't hold lots of high powered rubber bands on it. But you can fit around 6-10 good rubber bands on it. Check out my home page and look on my standard pistol for the use of this mechanism. You have a very nice looking gun and I hope this helps.

i have built your gun 3times now (i broke it up twice trying to make better cooler guns) this is by far the best lego gun out there. the instructions are great and its extremely satisfying to shoot. p.s. i noticed several people requesting instructions.. well you should really learn to read because there is a link to some on the page.

Great Aesthetics. Check out my Micro-Uzi for a reliable Semi-Auto rubber band mechanism. It could easily be integrated into a gun the size of your D'Eagle.

Very nice! I attempted a Desert Eagle rubber band gun several months ago. It was a failure, and the semi-auto action broke, but you *might* be interested in my new guns. In any case, an awesome gun, looks real heavy and sturdy, and the lego gun is great too.
