well... ebay is a good place... but i think u can buy parts of of Bricklink.com... go to THAT site and see the parts they have.. i dont use any websites... but i know peeps who use bricklink.com :) click on parts and use the search and select bionicle parts only in search settings

Actually, the legs aren't too short, but the body is much too long. On a human, the hands hang at about Knee Level, and the hips and elbows are pretty much at the same height too. Keep that in mind for your next MOC. The way you've got him here makes hm look like his trousers are falling down o.e
