A little dogfight scene from the move Independence Day.
About this creation
Well my last scene was met with mixed comments, some loved, others rightfully pointed out the lackluster scenery, so I have returned with hopefully a more captivating scenery.
I love this movie, f-18 dogfighting with alien craft, good times.
just missed..
closeup of the alien attacker, I will be posting this separately in the (hopefully near) future.
Personally I really like how the after burner effect came out. The hornet is an older model I already had.
Now the scenery, I tried to base it off a picture I had from the nuclear bombs, and my memory of the movie.
I think I did better than my "republic invasion of somewhere" scenery.

This was my first extensive amount of work with fireballs so that was fun.
and the final bird's eye view of the battlefield/San Fransisco.

Seen the movie, not a big fan but this scene looks great. The Hornet is nice, the alien fighter is great, and the burnt out rubble looks fantastic. Your use of the trans. green antennae is also cunningly effective. |

That jet fighter is an almost perfect copy of the F-18's from the movie, in an extremely compact scale. The terrain is also nicely done. As I haven't seen much of the movie I can't comment on the alien ship, but this is definitely a great MOC. Nice work. |
