The Battle of the Pellanor Fields
OK, I couldn't resist putting it up. *NOTE: the different parts, (such as the siege tower and the mumakil) are just supposed to be representations of the parts that they are... representing. Not minifig scale or anything close...* So, here we go... to the BATTLE OF THE PELLANOR FIELDS!
About this creation

^Aragorn.

^Elfhelm.

^The Witch King of Angmar.

^One of the Nazgul.

^Legolas, who is about to destroy this mumak.

^Gimli.

^Gamling the Old.

^Theoden King downed by a dart.

^Prince Imrahil.

^Hirluin the Fair.

^Eowyn.

^Erkenbrand.

You can see the full gallery on Brickshelf, once it's public... right here!

(my .zip files aren't working for some reason, so it may be a while...)

^Hirluin the Fair fights alone atop a small hill...

^Since I failed to remember to keep my Eomer figure alive, I have replaced him with Prince Imrahil of Dol Armoth, as he and Aragorn fight it out.

^A mumak, with some haradrim on it.

^An empty horse? Who's could that be?

Oh...

The driver of the mumakil.
(I had to take that from the movie.)

^The top level of the thing on the mumak.

^The Rohirrim charging the orcs and haradrim on the plains.

^King Theoden, downed by a dart from the Witch King on his Fell Beast.

^Eowyn vs. the Witch King of Angmar.

^The severed head of the unfortunate Fell Beast.

^Merry is attempting to help Eowyn by stabbing the Witch King.

^The River Anduin, and it's shore. No boat, sorry. :S

^The gate of Minas Tirith.

^The men of Dol Armoth charging out of Minas Tirith. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then read the books. (Well, actually they were horsemen in the book, but I had to resort to brick-built horses for the Rohirrim, soo.... yeah.)

^Ouch...

^Hmmm... a Ranger that ate to much fish...

^A siege tower that has been rolled up to the wall, and some orcs have climbed up...

^This troll is pushing the tower up to the wall.

Great! I love your gondorians on the wall. I just watched The Return of the King tonight and thats looks pretty accurate considering we dont have thousands of minifigs. I plan on reading the book soon.

Quoting Phillip Wright Yeah the third age fo GBA is awesome! The only level haven't beat on brutal is the black gate on (sauron mode). I get so close too it would help if Frodo destroyed the ring sooner :)
I hate Sauron mode. :D I can get past the first book without my heroes dieing but I couldn't get through the rest with just standard bearers so I deleted it and started a new one. I want to get the level that you unlock by beating the game in sauron mode though. It's really annoying.

Quoting Phillip Wright Fantastic , I love the Lord of the Rings. I've read the books three times and seen the movies a lot. I also own all of the video games, the two towers (xbox), return of the king (xbox), the third age (xbox), the battle for middle earth, the battle for middle earth 2, the battle for middle earth rise of the witch king, and Lotr conquest (Pc, 360, and DS). LOTR is my obsession, Yeah!
I also have Return of the King for Xbox. I cannot finsih the King of the dead level. :D I have the Third Age for GBA. LotR rules!

Let's see. Cool soldiers, rather nice gate, sweet Mumak, but not the greatest landscape and some of the details could of been a bit better. (The Nazgul and the siege tower, mostly.) 8/10 for the contest, mostly for the sheer size of it.

Quoting Nicholas Guerin good job, did you make up a bunch of characters or where they in the move, eny way th witch king isnt actually the witch king of angmar its just the wich king becuase theres 2!
1. Thanks. 2. No, those are characters from the books. (The ORIGINALS. The movies are fantastic but the books are extremely epic.) 3. The Witch King is indeed the Witch King of Angmar, as he was the King of Angmar during his lifetime. Thanks for commenting on my MOC.

Quoting Brik Masta Some parts are good some bad, but overall the good outweighs the bad. ;)
I actually didn't really like the overall outcome of the MOC. It was kind of hurried. I didn't really enjoy making it. :P (Don't ask me why I've waited 'till now to say this.) I definitely could have made the Nazgul better.

Quoting Darden Carpico It's great, but I have one problem... Mumakil is a plural version of the word Mumak, in Tolkein's wrightings he calls a single mumakil a mumak. Just had to say...
Heh heh... I guess I need a better memory. I just re-read the trilogy a few months ago. :0 I'll fix that right away.

I know the numbers are kind of skimpy with like 80 orcs and like 30 rohirrim, but bear with me, OK?
