Fighter Contest Entry: the 67th Defense Squadron
The runner up of the EOS contest, I might add. Yet this fighter is made by an idependent company.
About this creation
EDIT: I am entering this as my first entry into the RDF awards. It will go under futuristic starship.

Well guys, here goes nothing!

Tasked with defensive operations pertaining to the protection of ships, the 67th Squadron primarily uses a narrow fighter; the D-409rxd. It's an older model, but it's a reliable one at that. With massive thrusters propeling a small body, the "Singles Factory" can generate a fairly large amount of firepower as well.

The fighter incorporates a small seperate generator for it's guns, which helps the primary engine focus on the bare essentials of flight. It's sleek profile allows it to dogfight avidly in atmosphere. It's vents allow it to turn in space period.

It utilizes two tetrisatari high powered cannons. Each can deliver a ballistic or plasma projectile, depending on your taste.

Notice the style? This is a heavily, heavily modified Archangel. The fact that this thing doesn't even follow the instructions at all means it's an original though. I still give credit to Peter Morris.

I tell you what, this fighter has it's days. One day it's like glass, and the next it's like granite! Today was an in between day...

It really looks good from the front and upper rear, but I'd have to take it apart to show you the nice mechanics inside. The cyclops guy in the cockpit is my "after" sig fig, and you'll know why later.

I'm not striving for size here. A carrier spacecraft needs to be small in order to maximize storage capacity in the hangar.

Perhaps a comparison tickles your fancy? I KNOW that a LOT of you have the aat. It's like a freakin' trademark for any droid army. I'm sure Fed has one.

Credit to Fed for letting me in the EOS. I promise to still be mature on the subject, and to not gloat. For this is glutttony...

Thanks for looking, and remember to vote Karta as the winner!

I should mention that this thing DOES have a fully detailed interior. It's cramped, but it has one. You can see some of it in the pics above.

Quoting Awesome-o-saurus The Not-So-Great Looks like it's from the 70's... Just something about the way it flows.
Okay... is that a good thing or should I take offense?
